  • Just trying to get myself organised for the coming weeks. Does anyone have a link to the C1 brochure. I am thinking of having an Avon party for my friends and family, but not sure when to have it. I would like to preview C1 to see whether any xmas gifts feature in this one or whether it is geared to the new year.

I asked on Connects and people said it was still a pre-Christmas brochure, more focused on make-up. They'll have been talking about previous years, though, so this year could well be different.

Also keen to see it when a link becomes available! I even started changing the number at the end of the C18 link to see if I could find it that way... Too much time on my hands...

I've also just found out my ASM is not my ASM anymore. Explains why e-mails went unanswered for the last month. I'd been put in the new one's group on Connects but hadn't heard anything else about it (e-mail with contact details etc.) until now.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.
  • Another question - on the front of Brochure 16, on the bottom right of the front page, there's a banner saying "Shop Early for Christmas, ask your Representative for your Gift Guide". Just in case anyone asks for them, how do I get hold of them?

    Thanks :)
  • Hey guys,

Well, i have completed c15 and am now rearing to go onto c16. Managed to get £156 of orders for c15 so not a bad start to my Avon repping! It was just like xmas when my boxes arrived and i got to finger all the lovely prizes inside! i'm such a kid. :o
What was more fantastic was thanks to the hints and guidance on this thread ALL of my customers were there yesterday when i delivered and they ALL had their money ready!! This was because as i collected each book i checked if there was an order and if so i put a note through the door saying what their total was and what date i would be delivering their order. It worked a treat! They were also asking about the next book so here's hoping i continue to be a reliable avon lady and they become reliable customers! :j

Taking c16 books out to my new customers today and canvassing a new road.
Had a couple of territory issues which i am hoping are not going to be a problem on any of my other roads. Two houses on different roads have told me they already have a rep.. apparently there is another rep based around here but she is either canvassing roads not in her territory or my ASM has just given random territory and not kept a good record of it <confused smiley>. I also haven't done my F&F yet (mainly as i dont have any family up here but my other half does) but i will take a couple of books into work when i'm back next week (oh yer i have a week's holiday!!:T) and i also asked in Somerfield across the road if they have a rep and was told that they used to but havent had a book for a while - i was thinking that perhaps i could get one girl who i speak to often to collect the orders for me and give her £5 off her own order for the trouble. Do you think that would be ok?/Enough?

One quick question - when you give customers a copy of their order form, do you give them the top or bottom copy? i gave them the top copy this time but wanted to see if there was a certain way we are supposed to do it?
Also while i remember, my SL gave me an old HT so when i made my c15 order i had not seen the c17 HT. However, they sent one with my order last Fri... can i still order from HT c17? i think someone said that you can but stuff would probably be out of stock - is that right? i wanted to get the xmas party pack for £30 but it'll probably be out and isnt in the c18 HT.

    Thank you. ;)

Well done cutie on finishing your first campaign and reaching HOV! I'm ordering today for C15. By the way, I just noticed that you're getting married next October. I'm getting married next May! Exciting times! :)

In other news, just lugged 55 brochures out with me and delivered them. Not a good idea all in one go, when you don't have a trolley! Who needs the Gym when you've got Avon, eh? I was sweating so much by the time I got back - I'm glad I didn't run into anybody - looked a right sight! :o
  • Collected first catalogue drop and have 4 orders totalling £37.85. One problem one of the orders has no address on it so I am not sure where it came from! Not sure what to do. Was going to sort out the booklets and re-distribute but have a sore throat so will probably do it tomorrow instead.

The rep might have advertised in the local shops/online asking anyone if they'd like to see a brochure. You're allowed to do this even if it brings you customers from outside your allocated roads - this is why I'm doing it because I've exhausted my territory now. So the other rep may have got those customers when the street either wasn't covered by a rep, or was but they hadn't re-canvassed in ages.

    I'm about ready to implode.

I have just returned from my third and final pick up from a road I was assigned only to find out that two other reps - one a SL has heavy presence in the area.

I signe up to AVON specifically for the SL side. If you remember, I mentioned I have a magazine which has a circulation of 15,000 and was hoping to recruit people through that avenue. Naturally I need to tread the boards and rep a bit myself in order to 'train' others. I have informed my ASM that I will not be putting in the ad for new reps because I would feel totally disingenious in doing so without some adequate data as to which roads are covered and which aren't. It simply isn't enough to cry 'well we can't keep tabs on everyone!!' It's unprofessional and causes unnecessary friction. One git took pleasure infoming me that he was sick to the back teeth of AVON reps and showed me another brochure from the SL!! He bared his teeth like a rabid rottweiler and told me he was going to put them in the bin. I almost told him to shove them up his ample a*se but I am way too polite and have years of training in how to deal with plonkers. Luckily.

While I understand that ASMS cannot account for every rep - I think two reps in one road is more than a bit much to contend with and it is up to AVON to put measures into place where such data is at least available.

I would feel really sh*tty if what happened to me, happened to some poor unfortunate, more desperate for the money than I am.

Had I not ordered stationery from Vistaprint to the tune of forty quid, I would jack it in now.

So I have decided I will advertise myself as a rep for my area and build it up that way - slowly.

I am so annoyed at wasting so much time.
  • Oh can I advertise myself as a rep in any area? Just as an independent rep? Because the idea of 'territory' seems a bit of a joke right now.
