I tried a different tactic tonight - on the local groups, I posted the link for my group again, with the following:
I'm having a clear out of my stock this weekend, so join my group now and keep checking over the weekend for new products at fab prices!


I've had 3 people join within the last half hour so it must have worked - just need to make sure I have a sort out and put some stuff on their for sale lol!

For changing your name - if you click on account, then account settings - you can change your "real name" to whatever you want (within reason!).

kayels may have set her FB page up as a business page. With business pages, you can only like them, not add them as friends, mine is a business page.

We post the links on here to the e-books, you can copy and paste the link in a post on FB, or use the one from the Avon e-book.

To add a photo. You can google Avon pictures, and when you find one you like, right click, save as, save to your desktop. Then on FB, click on edit profile pic, upload pic, and choose the one from your desktop.

What to put on your FB page?

anything you like. Offers, special offers, competitions, giveaways, promotions of forthcoming products, review of products tried and tested, popular ones, ones customers have commented on.

Ideas on gifts for xmas, did you know Avon has a 90 day guarantee on returns? Did you know Avon sells named products like Storm, Playboy, High School Musical, Hello Kitty?

Yes, if you but HT stuff, although you will not earn any discount on them, they do count towards total sales, ie MoV and HoV.

Ah brill, thanks, thats good to know. I wasn't told much at my signing up meeting and I text my SL to ask if HT counted toward MOV and she said she didnt know (??????!!!!:eek:)
Really hope I get a few more orders... The lady who is holding onto her book a bit longer seems keen on a lot of items so fingers tightly crossed she doesnt change her mind.

Ah thats because I've just created an open page rather than whole account under the Avon name. I thought that might make it a bit more accessible as anyone can see it and I don't need to accept them to be my friend. Bit like a group really but as soon as people click on 'like' the stuff i paste on the wall comes up in their news feeds so fingers crossed

Also means I don't have two facebook accounts to go into, I log in under my personal account & when I go to the page & post on the wall it automatically recognises me as the creator of the page so everything I write goes under the page's name.

Thanks, I've not really done much with it, just working out what I want to do. A friend did the logo for me but it would be really easy for anyone to create, or take a photo and use that

My ASM sends out an email with links to the ebrochures so I plan on posting the links to them at the start of that campaign to hopefully encourage people to look through casually and perhaps something will catch their eyes! I also posted the links onto this thread so click through onto my profile/posts and it should be there

So far only a few friends have liked the page, but I intend to start trying to get customers to use it. I have the info printed on my business cards & other postcards I had printed up, so hopefully people will join and spread the message a bit further!

I am going to post on their similar stuff to what I put in my newsletter that goes out with the books so will highlight offers and push products etc.

Hope that all makes sense and is of some use!

thanks - had a busy week....monday & Tuesday was sorting delivery...wednesday had a T2 (though she wasn't in!!!!!:mad:) so travelled for nothing...thursday was delivery day....the weeks flown by lol!

Got a rotten cold now though - good job I didn't have it when i was delivering I don't think our customers would appreciate my germs lol!
