  • Hi All!

Just got back from 2 fab weeks hols and I knew Avon connects was on the cards but.. our SL forum had gone and I cant find any training on reps website re Avon Connects and what I need to do! Is there a post on here in last couple of weeks to help? There or over 30 pages or so to read through and the suit case un-packing awaits :-(

    Thankyou,
    Wendy :-)
I love being a Sales Leader... most of the time...
  • Well, I've just delivered my first 35 brochures! Woohoo!! I have quite a large (well over 100 but can't remember exactly how many) territory and the orders have to be in by 27th Sept, so hoping to be able to fit a couple more drops in.

Excited/nervous about picking up my books to see if I've got any orders! I know I've got at least one, anyway, as my mum's ordered £15 worth. Don't you just love mums! :D

I just have a couple of questions if someone wouldn't mind answering them please?

    1. Like Joosh, I've been having problems finding bags the right size for the brochures. I've been into town twice today trying to find some and they were all too big or too small! I had to adapt the bigger bags in the end by kind of taping them up, but they will still easy to open as I left the zip part free, if that makes sense? It was a right palaver though!

So where do you all order your bags from please?

    2. I delivered to a few houses that had a notice in the window saying they don't buy from doorstep sellers, but I figure Avon is a reputable company, right? Hope I don't get a mouthful when I go back! There was also one that said no junk mail but I wouldn't class Avon as that. What do you all do in these situations?

Definitely going to order a stamp from Vistaprint, as I think that'll make life easier!

    Thanks in advance!
  • Hi have signed up to Avon today, so just wanted to come and introduce myself. Looking forward to using all the hints and tips I have read so far and to apologies in advance for any stupid questions I may ask.

Well done on your first drop! Don't be disheartened if you dont have a huge ammount of orders... i dropped about 100 houses and only got 19 orders BUT there was over £200 :) People like to test to see if you are going to go back because lots of people give up too easily!

I would always drop a book the first time round, if they dont want it then they'll let you know! You could always put a slip in your next book that says if you dont want to recieve a catalogue please tick here :)

    Thanks Lullypops! :)

Wow, sounds like you did really well on your first order! I'd be really chuffed with that!

My Sales Leader told me not to put a slip in saying to tick if people don't want a book, as she said a lot of people will tick it automatically, whereas if you keep leaving the book, there might come a time when they do actually have a look at it and decide to order. I am not going to go back to people who specifically tell me they don't want another book though, or if they are rude of course! I'm going to have to develop a thicker skin, I think!

Welcome fineypops! I only signed up yesterday too, and this thread is a great source of information. I'm finding plenty of stupid questions to ask too, so don't worry :D

does anyone know an ebay seller that sells sealable bags to fit avon brochures, the ones i can find in the shops are either too large or too small x

I'm sure there are lots of sellers out there but the company I used was this one:

    http://www.stationeryboxesandbags.co.uk/clear-poly-bags-grip-seal-c-264.html

Their 8 x 11 bag is just the right size (there is even an Avon brochure pictured beside it) and I found the company themselves very helpful.
