  • Melvis, that's fab thank you .

Unfortunately my evening is the weekend in between me placing my C17 order and getting it delivered which is a right pain. I was going to leave C17 books out for people to place orders on the night so I guess anything I order for the evening will be from C15 and C16.

Thank you for the great ideas for products for the boxes, only trouble is where to put them as I only have a table so space will be at a premium. I could put them on the floor but would worry about people tripping over them  I'll have a think because I really fancy doing these.

If you wouldn't mind emailing me your flyer that would be fab. I'll PM you now.

    Thank you xxx

Thank you Aureol xx That's great, I love the idea of those ready wrapped gifts, maybe I could do the skincare sets in that, put two together .

The only thing with wrapping the £1 items is I would probably be out of pocket once I had wrapped each one and I was thinking along the lines of Shower Gels (well anything that is selling for £1 in the brochures up to the evening :rotfl:) - would it be worth it? But definately loving that idea, also nail varnish....hadn't even thought of that :T
    Thank you x

yes, I thought that when I was walking round trying to collect Avon books! I thought by the time you have bought the presentation bags and ribbons you would be out of pocket. Yes, good idea, make up a little presentation of 2 items, and charge more for it! Ready made present for them, and looks good too!

Go for it with the shower gels. Although in C16, they will be 75p for the small ones....

I would still have a £1 box, they may be snobs or upmarket, but am sure they will value the idea of a £1 box. Obviously make it flash looking :D

Yes, my SL did a presentation once and mentioned that she used nail varnishes for a display as the colours are attractive and call to the eye.

I don't think you want too much on the table, as it will look cluttered. Just a few select pieces and hopefully they will place orders too! Oh, do you have any skin samples, like Anew? You could maybe give one to a customer that orders, or with anyone who takes a book?

Hey laaaaaaaaaaaadies! I just had a really silly but very exciting idea to organise a ladies night local to me at the beginning of november... Have loads of people lined up for stalls, i just need to find a venue now! I doubt i'll make much money on it but it will be fun!:j What sort of things are wise to buy to do my stall??

LOL Lullypops, tiredmummy is doing one and so is Melvis, so just read the thread for more ideas.... and check out the first page, with the parties post, on there are some things that people have done on their parties, that might help you.

Yes I think I'll stick to 3 type of perfumes or maybe just 2 and 1 male one (they might want to buy xmas prezzies for the other half;)). Some Skin so soft products gift wrapped and go for these upmarket :p £1 and £2 boxes lol.

I'd love to go for all the Christmas demo bits but the brief is body lotions/perfumes etc. and I guess it will stop me go too mad :o.

One tip a friend gave me is to run a free prize draw, have entry forms on a clipboard and encourage people to fill in their details, even if they don't order. A good way of finding prospective customers :T
  • Following on from Aureols link, there's some really classy decorated cellophane you can buy on ebay. Some pairs done in this (similar to one in link) with curly ribbon tie would look top notch. These can be given straight away as gifts but you can also see whats inside.

Re: pj's, had other types off avon and find sizing very true ie. go for your normal size, no need to size up or down.

    Hi :D

    When is the event?

I'm hosting an Avon party in early C17, before my C16 order needs paying.

I'm ordering lots of stock from C16/backorder C15 to sell on the night:

    a £1.50 box consisting of ...

    Bubble Baths 5 for £5 - selling at £1.50 (they are £2 in C17 so customer saves 50p & I make extra 50p)
    Hand Creams - 99p - selling at £1.50 (they are £1.75 in C17 so customer saves 25p & I make extra 50p)
Room & Linen Sprays - 99p - selling at £1.50 (they are not in C17)
    Naturals Shampoos/Conditioners 4 for £4 - selling for £1.50 (they are not in C17)

    & a £2 box consisting of ...

Kids Products 5 for £5 - selling at 2 for £2 (they are £1.25 in brochure so customer save 50p & I make standard commission)
Shower Gels - 75p (normal size ones not in C17) - selling 2 for £2

I'm also stocking up on last chance to buy body yogurts & shower smoothies for 99p and selling these as well as any extra skin so soft items, make up items & anything else I have in stock already for £2 each.

So 3 boxes all together ... these are just Avon boxes covered in pretty paper with a A4 sheet on the front with the prices printed on.

I'm also stocking up on Xmas demo items to display on the night.

There's a few other bits too, I've made a flyer if you want me to email it to you? It's for a house party but you could adjust it to your needs xx

    Hope that helps xx

Edit: forgot to add, anything I don't sell I can get credit for before C16 needs paying so won't be out of pocket xx

Wow thanks so much for this. I'm holding a party on the 23rd Sept and dreading it:o I will buy the offers that you have listed;) I didn't even see them!!!!!
Please can you e-mail me the flyer for the house parties. I will start putting them into my customers books when I next deliver.
Just need to prep what to say on my party now yikes
  • Melvis - Thank you that flyer is fab!

Moneymaker - Brill, I'll get on ebay and get some. I think I might do a few of those gifts - probably 2 of the mineral gems products and take spare to wrap up over the evening if needs be.

Linzilp, have emailed you. You may want to remove your email address from your post so it's not public :) P.S I'm handing the flyers out on the night so they don't have a date/time on so you may need to tweak it a bit xx

Tired_Mummy It's my first attempt at a flyer (well, it took about 5 attempts lol), I've never used publisher before. Glad it's ok xx
