I've never noticed any glitter in it, but I find I only need a tiny amount and I suppose the glitter could be how it softens lines by reflecting light. Maybe your customers use more than I do lol.
Well one doesn't wear a lot of makeup, she said she doesn't know how to, so can be quite heavy handed...LOL.
Yes, I remember reading something about how the product reflects light, so that would make sense.0 -
Oh dear, it looks like avon connects is having serious problems now, I can't access any of the discussions without an error message and when I try to access my area group I'm the only member despite it saying there are 23members. I think their tech people have got their work cut out for them.
On a different subject, I've been asked to hold an avon stall at a local (upmarket) pamper evening. I was quite surprised to be asked but really want to make the most of the opportunity. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips to make it work? I did a fete really badly a couple of years ago - presentation wasn't the strong point and I took so many different things that it looked more like a carboot stall. I hardly sold anything and was quite embarrassed by the look of it, so all advise for this upmarket pamper evening will be gratefully received.
I have no display material as such so I was thinking of making my own display with silver wrapped boxes and positioning product on those (a bit like the bond girl page in HT 17). I was going to take the new HL fragrance (plus gift sets), possibly the Bond girl fragrance (plus gift set) and Outspoken. Will have 1 of each on display as a tester so people can have a sniff. Was also thinking of the Skin So Soft range maybe making up gift sets of the mineral gems range and possibly planet spa. Also thinking of having a £1 box but not sure as it might be too tacky for this evening. I will also have some books and order forms for people to pick up.
I really need to make this evening a success as I do want to do others in the future. So if you fab people could steer me in the right direction that would be great :j0 -
Thanks to everyone for all your help re my account. Texted ASM last night and got a reply saying it was too early to register. I hope to speak with her tomorrow.
Also, thanks for the colour concealer and lipstick tips - will suggest the concealor and/or the magic perfector thank you!
Got another order posted through the front door last night from one of my neighbours - now have nearly £340 for my first campaign - and I only had 2 weeks to do it all in - am so chuffed!!!!0 -

I don't think it is tacky, but you could maybe present it in a different way, so it doesn't come across as tacky....
You could have maybe an item in a presentation bag, with a nice bit of curled ribbon around it, and some of those little stars, the loose ones, and say only £1, but what a lovely ready wrapped Christmas present?

I've been trying to find a pic of what I mean but can't find one, this is similiar to what I mean.
Someone suggested having different size boxes so you have different levels and demonstrating products on these, cover all the boxes with some nice cloth so they can't see them.
Nail varnishes are good, the colours are attractive.0 -

Thank you Aureol xx That's great, I love the idea of those ready wrapped gifts, maybe I could do the skincare sets in that, put two together .
The only thing with wrapping the £1 items is I would probably be out of pocket once I had wrapped each one and I was thinking along the lines of Shower Gels (well anything that is selling for £1 in the brochures up to the evening :rotfl:) - would it be worth it? But definately loving that idea, also nail varnish....hadn't even thought of that :T
Thank you x0 -

Hi
When is the event?
I'm hosting an Avon party in early C17, before my C16 order needs paying.
I'm ordering lots of stock from C16/backorder C15 to sell on the night:
a £1.50 box consisting of ...
Bubble Baths 5 for £5 - selling at £1.50 (they are £2 in C17 so customer saves 50p & I make extra 50p)
Hand Creams - 99p - selling at £1.50 (they are £1.75 in C17 so customer saves 25p & I make extra 50p)
Room & Linen Sprays - 99p - selling at £1.50 (they are not in C17)
Naturals Shampoos/Conditioners 4 for £4 - selling for £1.50 (they are not in C17)
& a £2 box consisting of ...
Kids Products 5 for £5 - selling at 2 for £2 (they are £1.25 in brochure so customer save 50p & I make standard commission)
Shower Gels - 75p (normal size ones not in C17) - selling 2 for £2
I'm also stocking up on last chance to buy body yogurts & shower smoothies for 99p and selling these as well as any extra skin so soft items, make up items & anything else I have in stock already for £2 each.
So 3 boxes all together ... these are just Avon boxes covered in pretty paper with a A4 sheet on the front with the prices printed on.
I'm also stocking up on Xmas demo items to display on the night.
There's a few other bits too, I've made a flyer if you want me to email it to you? It's for a house party but you could adjust it to your needs xx
Hope that helps xx
Edit: forgot to add, anything I don't sell I can get credit for before C16 needs paying so won't be out of pocket xxSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
Hi, does anyone know, if you order a rep pack from the HT mag, are you guaranteed to get the exact products as advertised or can they replace an item if they don't have it in stock.
I was thinking of back ordering the beauty icons pack as this includes a foundation that a new customer of mine has ordered, on my normal order it's showing as a yellow dot, so not guaranteed to get it.I'm an AVON lady :j
c13 - £165, c14 - £260 c15 - £357 c16 - £423:)0 -
Hey laaaaaaaaaaaadies! I just had a really silly but very exciting idea to organise a ladies night local to me at the beginning of november... Have loads of people lined up for stalls, i just need to find a venue now! I doubt i'll make much money on it but it will be fun!:j What sort of things are wise to buy to do my stall??0

Does anyone have the vanilla latte Pjs? I'm thinking of getting a pair but wondered if they were good sizes or on the small size.0
