~Avon Hints and Tips~(Part 5)

Well what a 'mare. First I had a call on Friday evening from someone who had taken her mum's book to her own house. When I called to her mum's house to get the book, her mum told me what had happened so I offered to pick it up from her daughter's house. To be told "well neither of us are particularly bothered about Avon, she just took the book to have a look". OK says I, I'll come back next week. I forgot to. Daughter rings me on Friday evening (order went in Friday AM!) to say "are you coming to get the book as I've ordered?" !!! So have put in an additional order for her. Have emailed her to offer to drop the book / delivery in direct to her in future but had nothing back. Grr.

Then when I went round last week to collect in the last of my customer books there were a couple of people I couldn't get hold of. So I put notes through their doors saying that my order had to be in on Friday morning so please contact me before then if you want to order. Not a peep. Until I had a text from one of them last night asking me when I was going to pick the book up!!!!! She's not having an additional order, she'll have to wait and I'll order it with my C15 order.

Grr. So my C14 order was even more than I thought - £17 from the first lady, and more still from the second (don't know how much yet). Blimey.

Going to run a spend incentive for each campaign from C16-C18 to get Christmas sales up - spend £15 and get a free stocking filler gift.

Just wondering if something has a red cross beside it on the order form does this mean it most definately is not coming?

I am sorry if this is the wrong thread but I am desperate to find an Avon rep in the Wembley/NW10 area.
How do i look for one?

Just want to share something non Avon related.

In my day job we have a canteen in the building - it does all sorts of hot & cold food and drinks. We are very fortunate to have it - I realise that not many people have such great facilities at work.

However, they are refurbishing it this week so it is closed.

I can cope with most things, but I cannot tell you how difficult it has been to get through the day without a nice cup of tea at my desk.

I know I am behaving and complaining like a spoilt child. And it is only 2 days in.

Roll on Monday when we're back to normal!!!!

I wouldn't take it as gospel until you get your delivery. As the red cross has been known to change to a green tick.... whilst in progress... could be someone returns the same item, or Avon get more stock delivered.

Ha - don't get me wrong but I won't exactly be spending a lot on the gifts!!! Some of them I'll have free in my stash already, and thanks to Lozza for the tip on the 75p shower gels in C16 - I'll probably get some of those.

So £15 spend with (hopefully) 25% commission means I earn £3.75 on each order and I'll spend a maximum of 75p on the free gift. If anybody spends loads they might get 2 gifts!!

as Claregre says, don't spend lots of money on stocking fillers, look for things in Clearance in HT, they don't need to know what you are going to give them until you give it to them.

And you maybe surprised.... everybody likes a freebie and if they think they are going to get something that they can use for xmas, you might pick up some new customers. Don't give up yet. C16 should attract more customers...
