it depends on the courier and what route he takes. Mine is between 9 - 11am.

Some couriers deliver as early as 7.30am, some as late as 6pm.

Do you have the number for your courier depot? If so, give them a call and ask if they know approximately when the courier will be delivering in your area.

If you don't, your ASM/SL should have given it to you. You can ring Avon and they will be able to give it to you.

Well I picked up my books I sent out to new territory, 3 not put out, of that 3, 2 not in and 1 old lady can't remember getting it (she was about 90 so I can let her off), 2 didn't tick the box and 4 not interested so that was a wasted effort really. But I have 13 books going out tomorrow for another part of that street so we will wait and see.

How is everyone doing with C14? I'm getting orders but hardly any of them are over £10

My orders are down for c14 only got about £300 so far! alot of mine are away and a few are in hospital, still got some books to pick up off regulars and a new street i did yesterday so hopefully out of 52 books i'll get some orders!

My C 14 is about £100 down on usual sales. Bit of a summer slump. Still Xmas is around the corner!

My C14 has been okay, but then I have ordered a lot myself including five gift sets from HT. I will not be making a profit after this spend lol.

Rainy Day Tip

I use a retro-style floral printed 'trolley' to deliver & collect catalogues. Similar to this:

When it's wet & most of the catalogues are damp if not dripping, I line the inside of the trolley with newspaper so that it absorbs a lot of the drips. Particularly important as I use the new catalogues, (& therefore need to keep them in reasonable condition) in the next campaign for the customers that:

- tend to forget to give catalogues back
- tend to leave books out for several days in advance, in puddles
- smoke

Did see something similar - smaller and only plain grey - for sale in Lidl's recently for £4.99.... Wish I'd bought one now.

Just did my additonal order for C13, another £72ish of orders so used a lotus shield to bump it up to MOV. Pleased that my commission will cover the delivery charge, special shop discount and leave a little bit for me. Thought I was going to be making a loss with this one. My C14 has not been too bad for me - unfortunately I bought a few bits from HT and pj's for DD, sparkle top for me not to mention brochures so have lost nearly £40 of it. White Bench Strap Watch still temporarily out of stock - am waiting for 3 now with 2 customers waiting since C13. Hope they come soon or I could lose the sales. Happily, all else seems to be in stock.

Child free til saturday so will hopefully be able to do some tidying (invoices & brochures everywhere) and even prep up for next week (keep saying I'll get it done early then stop up til 2am catching up!).

Hi guys,

I have been looking into advertising and just wondered if you have any tips regarding placing adverts and where i should try- i've looked at yellow pages and thomson local but they want an address detailed and im wary of this seeing as it could be classed as running a business from home and throw up a whole load of complications!!
