  • Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhh am so annoyed. Just opened my delivery and still no sequined fitflops. There is no way my customers are going to want these with the next campaign delivery in September, summer is well and truly over. I've been waiting since C10 and they are coming up again in the brochure soon so what will happen then?

On a more positive note the two Bench watches my customers had ordered were in the box, and I was concerned about that after reading on here that some people had been told OOS. Also the pedometer I had ordered for myself was here too, so I guess I should be thankful.

I ordered some of the red leather Storm gloves as a Christmas present (I am now trying to order a few Christmas presents each time so will hopefully have all my Christmas shopping done by beginning of Dec). Anyway they are GORGEOUS - I want to keep them for myself so defo think I'll order another pair. Can recommend them if anyone is umming and ahhing over getting them xxxx

    Hello Avon Ladies

    Im back!!!

Ive been away from the forum lately with personal problems, but the sun still rises and sets, so its onwards and upwards!

OMG Ive just realised how many pages im behind, have so much catching up to do!!!

To a very special 2 ladies, and I certainly hope that you know who you are!!! A massive thank you for your kind email and thoughts, Bless you both for being kind enough to think about me.

Not much news, Summer is over, kids back at school next week, so Im hoping that things will pick up again on the sales front and looking to seriously expand the team again, down to 6! So many naughty ladies who promise to pay their bills and then dont! So easy to lose half a team in 6 weeks and with Christmas only round the corner!

So, tell me, whats the gossip and what have I missed out on?

Yes thats the hard part of being a SL unfortunately! Thankfully I've never had so many leave at once...but just drop away gradually. Now its leading up to Christmas hopefully more people will be interested in joining, to get some cash for christmas and to get their presents cheaper! Aiming for 20 by end of campaign 18...got 12 with 2 signed into campaign 14 so if they stay it means I'm getting there! We did a new budget for the wedding...and the price keeps creeping up lol, and all the jewellery I like is really expensive so thats part of the reason why I'm now on such a mission to get more reps as it means the wedding will be paid for and I can have nice jewelllery lol - yes I'm a magpie and have expensive tastes! :p

Glad to see you back lucyclare :)

    Hi guys,

I have been looking into advertising and just wondered if you have any tips regarding placing adverts and where i should try- i've looked at yellow pages and thomson local but they want an address detailed and im wary of this seeing as it could be classed as running a business from home and throw up a whole load of complications!!

    thanks :)

I used to advertise in my local Tesco Expresses and Metros, as they were free. Some said Sainsbury's do free ads, mine don't. You could try Waitrose too.

Any supermarket that has boards for advertising really.

I used to advertise in my local newsagents, varied from 50p a week to £1 a week. I wouldn't pay more than that for it.

You can do free ads on Gumtree, netmums, vivastreet, priceminster, preloved.

Maybe ask at your local baby groups, Sure Start Centres, libraries if you could put a free ad.
  • I only have £71 :(

Oh dear, I'm on £15 with only 7 days to go :( I'm not sure if i'll be carrying on to my 4th campaign at this rate!....

Thank you I will give them a go!!

on another subject I went out to collect this evening... out of 37 houses I managed to get 30 books back but NO orders!! I'm sooooo disappointed! I put so much work into trying to get orders- there was a free gift for orders over £10 voucher, the order form was sprayed with different scents and I put a little leaflet in with them!

this is my third campaign and I was really hoping my territory orders would go up but so far it doesn't seem to be happening

Am I just being impatient? I know from reading on here it is hard being a starter but it feels so bad when you do so much and don't get anything back!

    Moan over... :(

ps.... does anyone have any tips on how to dry out books....a few of mine came back soggy from the rain!!

Partly sales will down this time as people are away / going away still...give it a couple more campaigns (espeically as it's Xmas issues soon) to show your reliable and you'll get more customers I'm sure!
