I ordered the Betsy bag for myself but I hated it so I'm sending it back - it's really flat and cheap looking.

Oh really?! I have sold 5 of these so far with no returns, I quite liked it.
The other bag I have sold four of is the one with the detachable corsage, can't remember the name of it. My customers seem to like bags!!

I've got one Linzi - what's your email? Please don't think I'm OCD and wierd! I'm a teacher and so I can be excused for having a super geeky spreadsheet :p

I'm not a teacher so can't be excused from looking forward to opening Excel when I get back from dropping/collecting books. It's satisfying - even when I'm deleting a house from the list because they haven't returned a book - you feel like you're getting somewhere, narrowing things down so you'll be more efficient with every campaign.
I used to have my Avon turnover (sales) here. They've been removed because it's not appropriate to talk about those kinds of sales as if they're realistic for a new Rep to aim for. :( I signed up at the right time, right place, and was very lucky.

The patch I have consists mostly of pensioners, and I was wondering if anyone has any tips.

Saw this a while ago and meant to say something. When I did a cul-de-sac of retirement bungalows I noticed that, out of 18 houses, 4 had "no junk mail" stickers on their letterboxes. I've canvassed about 100 other houses and only saw 1 with a "no sales calls" sticker in the window. So I'm guessing older people will be less tolerant of getting things through the letterbox they didn't ask for (understandably, since they're often the target of scams). I know Avon wouldn't describe themselves as "junk mail", but the people on the other sides of those doors might. I knocked on these ones just to be sure. When I'd moved onto the next house I heard from next door, "who's dropped this in here?!" (sounding slightly angry). The thing is, that person didn't have a "no junk mail" sign. The person whose house I was at did have one, so I'd knocked, and he was perfectly calm when I asked if he wanted one.

It also felt very "curtain-twitchy" there, being a cul-de-sac. I've done streets that are terraces facing each other and didn't feel like I was in a goldfish bowl there.

If they've left the book outside then they must have read your slip to know which date.

I put the order slip outside the book facing outwards, so people can see the date. So on the front is the Avon brochure cover, and instead of seeing the back of the brochure, you see the order slip.

People who haven't read it are going to get every other campaign until I see some interest/an order, and then they'll get every campaign.

    Last post...

Territory - waiting to hear back from ASM. Passed on phone number of rep covering my/his street so hopefully she can find out what's going on.

Collecting brochures - decided to knock on some doors to chase up brochures and got some orders and another person who was interested. Also got brochures back from people who weren't, so I'll definitely take the time to do that next time.

Brochure bags - too late to order official Avon ones for C15, but I'll try them out next time. Could write "fold me" on the order forms so the bags definitely get sealed properly. Could anyone tell me who they use on eBay to buy bags from? I just need to compare prices.

Demo products - are these full-sized products, identical to the ones you'd order from the brochure? For example, if you bought a compact powder would the plastic be as good quality as the brochure version? I got a full-size freebie from Clinique once, but it had a plastic tube instead of a metal one.

Clearance catalogue - my SL dropped these off when they came around. Do they normally come with your order?

    Thanks!
