Thanks for your advice, I think I will send out a nice little "newlsletter" with next delivery including baby news, christmas shopping and any deals. I am also LOVING the advice from Aureol212 about shouting Avon from the rooftops everywhere you go with baby. If I think about it I do see a lot of people...doctors, hospital reception, local cafe, hair salon, local co-op... And there's always my new high school when I start teaching again in April!

I live on a Park Home / Mobile Home Site and have been selling Avon successfully on the site for many years. The clientale tend to be older but really appreciate friendliness, reliability etc. and on the whole LOVE Avon.

I mention this as many of you want to expand your business, so maybe look out for a site near you & check whether it is covered already. It has so many advantages, there can be many houses that are close together, people love a door to door service as some cannot drive, they are very loyal once you've gained their trust.

    Just an idea.

  • Hi there everyone. I've been passed this thread from a fellow Avon Rep and how fantastic!!! It's taken me days to get through it all. I'm Louise and I live up in Aberdeen. I have a little boy who's 3 in October and I'm LOVING doing Avon. I really didn't think I would get as much orders as I do and most of them are friends and family!

I'm just away to get my C14 books out, I started in C11 and was allocated 139 houses. Because of the success of f&f ordering I still have over 70 houses still to get round so I'm going to get them done this campaign hopefully.

With C11 I offered 2 free samples if their order was over £5 just to try and get my first orders in. With C12 I offered a free gift if the order was over £10 and I found this to be very successful. I found C13 quite pants so offered 10% off if the order was over £20. Got about 13 orders but not many of them over £20 so don't have too much to take off my commission. Now I'm struggling with an incentive for C14............anyone got any ideas?

Also, I see some of you send out your own flyers and things with your books, would anyone be willing to show me them?

    :hello: loubylou

Why not do a refer a friend and if they spend £10, you will receive a free gift incentive? That will hopefully generate more customers for you.

I don't offer incentives every campaign, but sometimes I say to customers, and this one is thanks to Lozza1985, that you can order any item from page xx for free, if you spend £10. This way they know what they are getting and hopefully they will buy it properly in the future.

What I do is I compare 2 campaign books, the current and previous. This is all Lozza's suggestion and it really works. If the previous campaign had shampoos on offer for 99p, I can backorder them. And if the current campaign they are full price, the customers think I am paying for them to receive the gift at my avon price.

I'm not! I am paying about 78p for it, the customer is happy, they spend money, and if they like the product they buy it again and again, increasing my sales :D.

I also brochure collected in the snow with DS1 & DS2, pulling a sledge with DD lying in it. The kids really enjoyed it but the important part was that the customers saw we made a huge effort for them.

    Good luck with the birth.

Yes, sorry J-pink, very rude of me, congratulations and good luck with the birth.

The reason I gave the advice I did, was one of my reps gave birth in April and decided to take "maternity leave", as her MIL was supposed to carry on with Avon for her, but didn't. She restarted this month, but this is the advice I was given to give her.

Money maker, I remember the snow well! So many of us made such an effort to get out and about, and it was even acknowledged by Avon in their newsletter.

I still remember you telling us about DD in the sledge and how still she was lying, that everyone thought she was a doll. :)
  • Oooooh I like that one thankyou! I think with the new houses I'm going to go round I'll offer the "pick an item from page xx" if you order over £10. Don't think I'll offer an incentive for my regular customers coz they've had 3 now plus there's a sales flyer for C14 anyway so it should be a good book - not actually had a chance to look at it yet as my house is in an uproar as we've been getting a new kitchen and bathroom in over the last 2 weeks so not had a chance for much!

I was also seeing there is a link for each campaign and HT - I've tried playing around with it but can't get anything - would anyone be willing to send me the details? I have a Facebook page so it would be good to offer my customers that I post a book to a chance to view the book online.

It is very fiddly to get it right to find the exact book you are looking for. I personally wouldn't put these on FB, as the information belongs to Avon, and I have found navigating around trying to find the current brochure, items that I wouldn't want Joe Public to see.

And someone techy enough might decide to have a nose around.

Just use this one for current/back campaigns.

  • I couldn't actually find anything from it and the links that were put on a few days ago for future campaigns only gave me the back pages of the books.

    That's cool though x
