don't worry! You have still submitted it in good time, don't worry about it being a few minutes past 10pm. You will still get your order on time, all being well with the courier. (Have to say this, because if your regular is on holiday, it may get delivered at a different time to normal).

Thanks aureol, cant believe i forgot - im normally so good, lol!

how sad am i. can't afford to go to the hairdressers these days!

Not sad at all... As Aureol says, just pop into your local ones (especially the ones that are quiet) - chances are the staff can't afford to buy the products sold in the salon anyway and will love the opportunity to look at an Avon book.

I've tried various hairdressers and in my experience, the lower to mid-range ones are the best ones to try. ;)

    Good luck.

This makes me sooooo cross.

If another rep is littering your territory, just pick up the phone to her/him and tell them that it IS actually your given territory. Usually, reps are very civilised with each other - after all, it's a waste of everyone's time to drop the same books to the same customers.

Be pro-active in such circumstances and, if you want, then email your upliner telling them what you've done. (Up to you whether you add in any adverse comments about Avon territory/system.)

Of course, it may be that the other rep is new too and has been misled by their upliner that your territory is actually free (so be nice i.e. you're both in the same boat).

    HELP!!

I remembered my order was due at 10pm tonight at 09.58pm! I logged in but the site was sooooo slow that it was 10.02pm by the time it was submitted. Will i still get my order on time? Im normally so good but ive had a lot on my mind today :(

See, as usual Aureol has already put your mind at rest. :T As you've now experienced the website can't always cope when it gets to published deadline order times so I always suggest to my team that they work to the day before. Totally up to you, of course.;)

  • Hiya,
How much do people spend on their ''free gifts'' and do you order them from the HT with the campaign (so you know how many to order?)
    Thanks :)

As well as the freebies you tend to accumulate, I tend to order the 99p offers to customers (74p nett to us but 99p in order value) - or as we've had recently - the free offer like a bath robe i.e. C13 £1 liquid soap and C14 £1 handcream.;) Yes, appreciate you need the £2 glimmerstick in C12 to qualify for the bathrobe but if you're lucky your customers will order one @ £4 anyway! :T

There's also been a belter of a deal in clearance recently - the Anew pack (full size cleanser, ultimate eye contouring system and trial size day and night creams) for £4 :T:T:T Bit puzzled why they offer such a good deal on that and then want us to order the same but with full sized day and night creams in HT16 for £25 - or maybe that just shows how really 'tight' I am! :rotfl:

As one or two others have said I also received the Fred Bennet cuff links as an anniversary gift. I called Pc line and got throught to prize department. I said I was a bit upset at having received cufflinks as a gift and that perhaps they had my name wrong. Apparently not she said gifts are not specific and can be anything from the Avon range .Basically I can like it or lump it. Could I not give them to a customer or as a gift was her reply. Beats giving reps a gift if we have to give it away. I have never sold cufflinks and don't know anyone who would wear them. She suggested I give them to charity. Not at all impressed almost as bad as being given an out of date filofax for hiting targets within first 6 months!! Didn't like her attitude at all and will be returning them would rather receive nothing than be given something useless which they obviously need to get rid off. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't also appear in the Lotus shield incentive!!!

Strange how we got different replies..... I also got the out of date filofax and registered my complaint so got nowhere but this time I just gave feedback (along with my thanks for being given any sort of gift anyway) and was told they'd send me something more appropriate. Time will tell, of course, whether it's our attitude that affects their reaction or just the person you get on the other end of the line.

Another Q - I am due to give birth around my C16 orders deadline :)
if I drop a week or two before hand and don't manage to get any orders in- what happens? Can you miss campaigns due to poor sales? What happens if you go on holiday, operation etc?

Do you have a DH, partner or friend that can help you out? You could offer 10% of the commission for a friends help. Normally I would say you could miss a campaign but when you've only just started then consistency and reliability may benefit you. Perhaps you could drop a note in with brochures just advising that you are giving birth soon but will do your best to collect/deliver orders within a few days should the happy event occur.

You can prep books, create a list for someone else to work off and ensure you have everything ready in advance.

My DH & DS1 covered my rounds when I had DD - they also covered when I broke my ankle (collecting a brochure!) and I think the ladies quite enjoyed seeing a bloke. I also brochure collected in the snow with DS1 & DS2, pulling a sledge with DD lying in it. The kids really enjoyed it but the important part was that the customers saw we made a huge effort for them.

    Good luck with the birth.

Made a booboo with my books-some were to be collected on Sat and some tomorrow(Tues)but I couldnt remember which streets were which and my own road should have been Saturday. Got a call from my best customer who told me! She was nice about it and I was also apologetic so its a redface for me tomorrow I'd say! Ive emailed her also with apologies and I will give her a nice freebie to make up for it(I was going to anyhow)
Saw a relative who wanted to return some lipsticks and has ordered another at same value-no order this time-until-I told her again about the bathrobe offer and also that far away edp is half price and she smelt the page so 2 eyeliners 2 handwash and 2 far away edp there plus the lipstick! Just and £18 order! I talked her into starting her Christmas shopping and she was grateful. She took the book to a friend who ordered 2 bras-another £16. Im ordering 2 sizes though for this lady to hopefuly ensure that I get the sale in case her chosen size doesnt fit. I got my friend to measure her properly so hopefuly one or other size should in theory fit her. I find them true to size anyway. So that was £34 worth of orders for a good old chinwag! I gave her the trial size anew day cream from my freebie pack for being my Avon helper and Ive told her that the more orders she gets me-the more freebies she will receive. She had the anew eye cream(the one from the freebie pack)and her hubby wanted it so now he has one too! ssssh I promised not to tell anyone! Now this relative is also an excelllent sales lady so I will be looking after her!

Jp-ask for their phone numbers also so that someone can phone them and advise on their delivery.Shame nobody can tell you your date but its magical not knowing;+)
    All the best x
