I'm getting to grips now with the type of products that I like to use and what I don't/shouldn't be using, so I'm going to get some gift bags or boxes in the sales and nice tissue paper and make Xmas gift sets of the stuff I don't want to use.
It's a shame we can't have a MSE Beauty Swop party - like a Clothes Swop Party - for all the unused products we've got stashed away. Anybody else live in London. I'm based in North London and I'd be happy to host the party?I've hosted Body Shop parties in the past and they were great (and er.... one of the reasons why I have a big stash of Body Shop products
)
I too am doing a sort out(but not making a list(tooooo scary:eek:)
MS has finished uni and said he wants a double bed so his girl can come and stay so what do I do but buy him one:eek::eek::eek:
now he needs space in his wardrobe(I have used it up till now as only 1 small one in our room and he never used to worry about hanging clothes....just left them on the floor:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)hence the need to move toiletries out of shared wardrobe in our room to find space for clothes/shoes.I have dozens of small size shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/body lotion all from bonus bags so need to start using them instead of (as with clothes!) saving for "best" when on hols(usually stay in hotels now so dont need them there either:rotfl:)
YS 21 this week and having friends round for a BBQ,OH away on work:( so wish me luck dealing with drunken students!!!!!(I am going out for the evening so I dont cramp their style too much!!!and my friend said I could have a sleep over but not sure I'd sleep for thinking about what was going on:eek::eek::eek:0 -

I love Eyebright, but didn't need anything else from the TSV so resisted!!
Eyebright is a very soothing product. It is cooling and refreshing and was the only thing to sort my eye out after some ash blew into it last year.
As far as I can tell, there is nothing else like it on the market.

UU We've finished a Litre size Jason Mango Body wash today. WIBA I would. I think it smells really fruity and juicy and I love that in the mornings - but the Hubster and my son aren't so keen. I have two 500ml A'kin shower gels to get through first after the remaining Elemis Lime & Ginger is finished.
A few of you have mentions Jason products. I'd never heard of them before. Where do you get them from, please?0 -
Afternoon all
A few use ups-
Benefit Lip Gloss-Cant remember the shadeWIBA?Yeah, nice consistency and didn't go goopy when on
Palmolive Cherry Shower Gel--WIBA?Yeah, probably, did the job-though not particularly exciting!
John Frieda Blonde Shampoo for honey to caramelWIBA?Yes, love the stuff-though just about to try the JF Lightening conditioner and shampoo, have heard mixed reviews
There havent been any good BS glitches, maybe when the end of the sale comes....
Have a good dayxx0 -
No it was definitely 1500+ products:D Someone posted that it was their starting number but they had managed to reduce it down quite a bit since. I think a lot of those items were samples rather than full size.
Crikey, I thought I was bad :rotfl:Did owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j
Owe Virgin [STRIKE]£5,950.00 [/STRIKE]at 0% til June 2009 £3,427.89. Owe HSBC [STRIKE]£5,460.78 [/STRIKE]2.9% til May 2010 £3,703.07. Owe Post Office £1,676.62 at 0% til September 20100 -
Haven't used anything up yet, but I'm making good inroads into things. I used some of Avon's Greek Seas toning body gel (I think it's discontinued now) and DH loved it. I have another bottle of it in the cupboard, so I won't run out for a while. Shame, as I would buy it again! I've been using up some old lipsticks I found in my cosmetics drawers - I don't really wear lipstick but I don't want to just throw them away. I'm the same with nail varnish. I buy them thinking they look pretty, but then I keep my nails really short as I do a lot of typing and whenever I put nail polish on it feels unnatural and heavy. Catch 22!
All this talk of stock-taking makes me think I should do the same, but I don't dare to be honest! Ooh-err!
Lynseydee - I did get some of that cotton wool from Wilkos - they didn't have the pads as they'd sold out but I bought the cotton wool balls and will just flatten them out a bit. Thanks for the tip!

Not that i am encouraging us all to spend, but you know the £2 haircare voucher we all have stashed in our purse for using in Boots?Well, just noticed on the website (hoping this is instore too)-that they are giving you 200 extra points when spending £5 on proffessional haircare..so cheap hair stuff and extra points! (and according to main thread, lots of SEL bargains to be had!)
Have a good night girliesxxx:j0 -
Whoo hoo! I just finished a bottle of shower creme
It was one of the new Dove shower cremes/body washes, and WIBA? No, I wouldn't. I only bought it because it was on offer, but it left my skin somewhat dry. Never mind, I still have 5 other shower gels to use up!
Night, all! xxx

Hiya
When I first started this challenge it amazed me just how much I was not spending and was able to put the difference towards paying off the dreaded cc's. It actually felt quite frightening to think just how much money my stash had cost, even more so as I would use a cc to pay for the things and then not be able to pay the whole card off at the end of the month so with interest charged....... scary
But hay no more of that now still dont have to buy any thing still for a very long time.
Have 3 uu to report. Molton Brown Blissful templetree WIBIA absolutely no no no dont like the smell yuck yuck yuck was part of a QVC duo Never again......cant say more without using rude words
Ojon...ultra hydrating shampoo and the conditioner. Thank goodness its gone. Was another QVC buy. This time a super size one. 1000mls, been using this every day since the start of JANUARY!!! WIBIA no-was good vaule for money BUT the smell....thought I would just get used to it but try as hard as I could still dont like it.
Never mind you live and learn dont you
Take care
