No Buying Toiletries in July Challenge!!!

I've got the week off to a good start with a UU this morning: Sanctuary body lotion. WIBA? Yes, I like it. Someone has mentioned on here that it's difficult to get the lotion out of the bottle and I would agree with that. I ended up always leaving it turned upside down and I had no problem then.0

Well, some good news and bad news - the good news is I didn't buy anything over the weekend! The bad news (which I guess is actually good news) is that I found two more bottles of the Hyatt hotel white ginger shampoo and a half bottle of the conditioner - I'm so sick of it! Used up the conditioner this morning so back to the Malmaison one now (which is rubbish).
It's my birthday in 3 weeks so am expecting to get lots more to add to the stash then - so I will definitely not be buying anything else until I see what I get! Need to start putting together my toiletries for Washington as well - even though I know there will be toiletries in the hotel room I don't know whether I'll get on with them so need to take some just in caseMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Morning everyone.
!!! this is my first challenge I have to say I am rather proud of myself. Only toiletries bought this weekend were razor blades and they were needed, I successfully walked past the lotion and potions on offer
No UUs yet but getting close on a few things.
happy Monday peopleNew surname New start!

Nice going hon! :j
:wave:After looking in the stash drawer with daylight streaming in (rather than with the curtains closed trying not to wake Hubby before the alarm) I found I did have a small Louise Galvin conditioner so that crisis has been averted!
UU We've finished a Litre size Jason Mango Body wash today. WIBA I would. I think it smells really fruity and juicy and I love that in the mornings - but the Hubster and my son aren't so keen. I have two 500ml A'kin shower gels to get through first after the remaining Elemis Lime & Ginger is finished.
I've got quite a few things on last splutters so I can see I'm going to have plenty of UUs this month.
Have a great day lovelies! :jNot everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
finished a tube of simply active face wash WIBA? probably not ,it was only £1 from Tesco but not really doing it for me!
still using Occitainne lemon and honey oil WIBA? not sure,it smells divine and the smell lasts all day and it makes tanned skin look great BUT it is oil after all and being a messy girl I managed to get spots of it all over my (old) t shirt so needs using with care:rotfl:
not heard from Beauty Bible yet so not sure if I should start to use the goodies they sent me?They said there waould be lots of forms to fill in.0 -
morning girls hope you had a grand weekend!
one UU...Maybelline dream mousse foundation WIBA yes, i like it to start with but then my skin got quite dry and this foundation showed dry patches IYSWIM but as I went back to it to use it up (as a concealer and eyeshadow base as i was conscious (rightly or wrongly) it was that which dried my skin out) i found that i loved the coverage and my skin got on better with it.
I will be using up the L'oreal nutrisummer fake tans this week :rotfl: i will be having rather orange tum and legs i think! am saving myself until Friday night to use my Fake Bake as I'm off on hols on Sat and want it to look it's best and last as long as possible
I think I will be using the majority of my suncream bottles - i've told the girls i'll provide the suncream if they provide the aftersun/jungle spray. This means I get rid of my suncreams (bringing 12 for 5 girls for 2 weeks) and don't have to go out and buy aftersun etc! Good plan me thinkslol
Have a good day girls x0 -
I've been quite bad over the past week or two for body-buttering and such, and now i have dry skin on my legs again, and my heels are in a terrible state! Must body butter and use footcream tonight. I don't know why I haven't been, I know they work!
Two mini use ups from the weekend - 2 sample size moisturisers:
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream sample. WIBA? No - used it for a couple of days in a row, and did nothing for me. My mum loves it though, so maybe my skin is just a little too 'young' still for it to do anything.
Roc Retin-ox wrinkle correxion sample. WIBA? No - I loved the texture, and it felt really soothing, but did nothing more than Clinique DDML, or Nivea Soft, so not worth the money, or changing from what I already use.
So tonight I'll be trying to use up some conditioner dregs, slathering myself in body lotion, treating my feet, painting my nails, and washing my make-up brushes with some other shampoo (my favourite powder brush was looking quite disgusting this morning!).

I have about 500 items if it's me you're thinking of
No it was definitely 1500+ products:D Someone posted that it was their starting number but they had managed to reduce it down quite a bit since. I think a lot of those items were samples rather than full size.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
I haven't been putting any money into my savings pots for this challenge since I started but I thought I might look through my credit card bills and see the difference between my Boots spends for the first 4 months of the year compared to May and June, and put that difference into a savings accountMy debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

I'm in the middle of doing a stock-take of all my products (I've been doing this challenge since January and want to do a proper updated list) and thought I'd loads of stuff left, until I'd seen Jacks list on page 1!! That's some list.
I'm getting to grips now with the type of products that I like to use and what I don't/shouldn't be using, so I'm going to get some gift bags or boxes in the sales and nice tissue paper and make Xmas gift sets of the stuff I don't want to use.
It's a shame we can't have a MSE Beauty Swop party - like a Clothes Swop Party - for all the unused products we've got stashed away. Anybody else live in London. I'm based in North London and I'd be happy to host the party?I've hosted Body Shop parties in the past and they were great (and er.... one of the reasons why I have a big stash of Body Shop products
)
