Should have done it by text. She sounds like she would have deserved it.
It was before the text era - November 1997.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Leaving a letter was the only way he could deal with it.
A sweetheart who had an affair? Tried everything? So she had him physically restrained or fearing for his life did she? Oh no, wait, he was afraid of a 'strop', well what man would want to face that terrifying consequence of his own actions?
I'd say he did her a favour, sounds like a cheating coward to me.0 -

I'm sure margaretclare can defend her own posts but I would like to say that in previous posts she has said that her husband was physically attacked by his ex-wife and he never defended himself against her.

I obviously don't know the details, but I think if you come on a public forum bragging about how your partner ditched his wife for you (and left her waiting for a lift for God knows how long in the process which I find unnecessarily mean) like its an achievement, you can expect a little criticism.
The only attack I've seen mention of is a 'strop'. How many men who cheat blame their wives and claim they were badly treated?0 -

Because obviously Domestic Violence only ever happens one way. Get a grip dear.0 -

I agree she hasn't said anything about her and her husband's past in this thread.
She has explained the situation in the past on other threads though.
Whether this changes your view of the situation is obviously personal to you.

Thank you, Soubrette, and yes, it's true - domestic violence can happen from women to men as well as the other way round. After everything else has been tried - sitting down to discuss, reason with, all avenues explored, there is often no other way of dealing with the situation than to get out. Life is just too darned short. And there was no intention of 'bragging' either.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.

Could have done it by text, she would just have to have waited even longer.:rotfl:0 -

Still don't know what a 'keeper' is. But, thinking back, I'm very glad that neither of them had a mobile phone.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
