Do you understand what constructive means?
Ebay = constructive (which I did say in my first post)
CC = desperate
I look forward to your next constructive response.

I don't know how much Cash Converters would charge for a month ... but a self-storage room with a floor space of 4'x4' and 8' tall would usually come in at about £5/week, if the OP has access to such places. I use one, but it's nearly 20 miles away and that was my nearest. But they are in a big town, so maybe there's one nearby. In which case they could move to a studio, although moving in somewhere new can cost a few hundred quid too - and it's not instant.0

I've never disputed Ebay as constructive advice.
I did however, assuming you have the power of reading, state that pawnbrokers is not constructive advice.
I think most people recognise, that whilst the desperate do use them, they are extortiante if you want your gear back, and if you 'sell' your gear you get only a fraction of their worth, and serve only to add to a persons misery.
Well done for the Ebay advice, give yourself a pat now.All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0 -

A lot of these people probably live in more prosperous areas like London and the South East, and can't fathom the job situation in places like West Yorkshire.
Taking out a commercial loan to pay off an overdraft, not paying an electricity bill for months, living in accommodation with rent taking up 55% of net income is not a great MSE tactic and isn't geographically snobbery.
The majority of advice was focussed on the OP reducing their expenditure and not hectoring the unemployed partner about their status.0 -

I wasn't refering to the advice about expenditure. The trouble is I was refering more to the comments regarding his job hunting. Nor was I implying geograpical snobbery.
It's harder for a person in London to accept the difficulty of job hunting in Huddersfied. All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0 -

This is the second thread I've stumbled across where you have posted a diatribe against others whilst offering nothing in solid advice to the OP. Sarcasm, hypocrisy and scathing stereotypical judgements seem to be your main weapons.
You stated in one thread that you did not care if people did not like how you came across, that it was their problem. Ergo, if YOU do not like how other people come across, perhaps that is YOUR problem?
Most people on MSE can engage in healthy disagreement without the sort of ranting you seem to be resorting to - perhaps you shoud take a step back, take a deep breath, and take a couple of minutes before responding to threads?
You're unlikely to ever change many people's opinions by attacking them rather than presenting a reasoned argument.0 -

I'm assuming irony is lost on you. But well done for a wittering post about how I do not care about you think I come across. Anymore futile tricks up your sleeve?
It's not my role to change opinions. If you've read any of my post, you'll see I care little for opinions in favour of facts.
That isn't to say I won't entertain you whilst you wittle out your opinions if you like? All over the place, from the popular culture to the propaganda system, there is constant pressure to make people feel that they are helpless, that the only role they can have is to ratify decisions and to consume.0
