Another new day to add to July: The No Spend Day

:hello:Hi all NSD'ers
Well was no purse day againso am up to number 11 :j
Really good thing that I didn't take it though as I had to collect a prescription (pre pay card. thanks for the info back in June:)) and as it is the week that I finish early shifts on Fridays and go on to lates on the Saturday I usually get an amazing urge to spend but I couldn't
The urge stuck with me though and I have had a hankering for chocolate and (oddly) ham sandwiches LOL (no idea where that came from). So have been trying to keep myself busy and in the end put my nightie on at about 7pm to trick myself into thinking I couldn't go out to the shop. It has worked to a certain extent, I haven't got dressed and gone out but still want the chocolate :rotfl:mental note to self methinks to put something like drinking choc or 'Options' in next months grocery shop
Am taking myself off to bed in a bit to see if that works lol.
Well done Beanie and everyone who is getting targets :TI do love that cat and want one lol
See you all tomorrow

Morning everyone-
popped on to declare #9 for yesterday. Didnt go out so no spends! Yay!
Had a very quiet day yesterday, caught up with ironing, got my bolognese made and baked a very naughty chocolate cake, very nice it is too! I was trying out a new recipe I found and it is delish!
Today we are just going to local shops, I need to get a new collar for HM the dog as he very kindly rolled in something unmentionable yesteday morning and I cannot get the smell out no matter how often I wash it - apologies if you're eating breakfast, but I know you're all made of strong stuff!:rotfl:
I might try Kathy's trick of "no purse" the DH will have to dig deep - is that devious? Oh yes!
PDD - hope you have a great holiday - dont bother with the cocktail dress, hen!;)
Have a great day everyone -:)
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -

so far so good! 17 July & I'm up to 8 NSDs!!! :j Clearly my year of changing my habits has in fact changed my habits, the nearer I get to my DFD the easier it is not to spend money, in fact the pendulum has swung the other way and I now find it difficult to spend money on things other than essentials! All Ollie-dazers have a great time & send us a postcard
If you're taking orders, I'm fine with either a stick of rock or some fudge but not nutty stuff cuz I'm enuff of that already!
Isn't it great when that happens DNMS--in a way so liberating when you finally realise there's no shame in not spending. I'm really not looking forward to this afternoon as we've been invited to a wedding reception & I know I've to get motion-lotion to get there as well as buying a drink. Being the designated driver sometimes helps but why on earth do you have to pay so much for soft drinks  it's not like I can smuggle in a bottle of squash either, unless I sit in the pub garden with the little white nails brigade *cough-splutter-choke!* & come home stinking of nicotine
Still--I'm on double figures as of yesterday with No10 so I'm heading in the right direction, albeit slower than I would likeFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Unfortunately Thurs, Fri and today are spend days, this morning I bought some clothes in the Next sale..... but at least everything was half price or more :j.
Not feeling too good today, so hopefully tomorrow will be a NSD, no plans to go anywhere.
Have a great weekend everyone.***Dont save what is left after spending, spend what is left after saving***0 -

:rotfl:Sounds like a plan Jinty, tis one I learnt from here though
Hope you are feeling better soon Karen xx
I'm getting a bit like that determined but nowhere near dfd yet, hope I keep it and don't go on a mad splurge soon
Well woke up and the urge for choc had gone :j and am off to work soon so hopefully logging in with another one later.
I have paid 6.25 off Vanquis for the 100 day challenge this morning but I'm not going to count that as its only been possible cos of the NSDs and paying off the cards is the reason I'm trying to do this
Have a great day all xxx See you later

Hi everyone, checking in with another NSD for yesterday taking me to 9. Today I had to dig my purse out as we ran out of milk this morning (if only I had checked it wasn't turning into yoghurt before I put it in my coffee yuckkk). Hoping tomorrow will be another NSD to balance it all out.
Hope you all have a fab spend-free weekend! x
