  • :jLadyfromVenice: well done for no 3, but oh dear, dehydration isn’t good. Hope you’ve recovered OK.:)
Good luck with the karate tomorrow, that’s going to be warm:(

Am feeling much better today thanks. Will be speaking to GP on Monday, This, along with my weight gain (half a stone in 3 weeks with no change in eating/exercise habits ) is worrying me. Before anyone suggests it, yes I have a thyroid problem already. Started after DS2 was born. Overactive and couldn't be controlled by tablets . Had to have radioiodine treatment after DS2 was five (1 yr ago yesterday!) and now the lovely NHS have killed off my thyroid completely :(. On lifelong thyroxine but I may be needing a blood test to check dosage...........

Errrrrr........yes it was very warm.........but I am now the proud owner of a blue stripe on my green belt.:T:T:T

yesterday was another NSD for me , got to go to £ostco today to get drinks for the eldest sons football team but hoping to only buy milk bread and salt though everyone is coming so it may work out expensive,

Get my new freezer today so will be able to start properly organising the food from tomorrow

What are your son's football team going to do with the salt may I ask.....or have I read that wrong?.....Oh, yes I have.
Schools seem to work us till we drop, bet you had to go back to work after, in an office you'd be packed off home in a cab. Hope you're feeling better now.

Ok guys, I need some help. as most of you know I'm going to Guernsey for an interview next Wednesday. Guernsey are tax free VAT wise and I've been wishfully mooning over an ipad. PLEASE SOMEBODY TALK ME OUT OF SPENDING £500 on a new toy...

Luckily this was just before my shift finished at 3.30pm (had been there since 7.30am! - with children there from 7.45am I may add!) It's daycare attached to a school, so while the school nursery teacher has contact time with the children of 5 hours a day (and moans that she doesn't have time to do anything - although she gets paid for and 'works' a 40 hour week) we have contact time of at least 7 hours a day and don't get paid for time away from the children. Friday was actually one of my shorter shifts!

Sorry, rant over, I'll get my wrists slapped for talking on 'social networks' about work.

MP, how about taking advice from the Grange Hill gang - "Just say No!" :rotfl:

Working my way through today's posts. Will be back soon!

  • Bieanielou - it's confusing isn't it? Every martial art seems to have it's own grading system

I do Chinto Shukokai Karate (I think that's right). It's a half grading between green belt (5th Kyu) and blue belt (4th Kyu). DD and DS1 wanted to try Taekwondo as DD is now a black belt but after booking our holiday of a lifetime for next year we can't afford it now :(. She's thinking about starting kickboxing when we get back!

Have now read through today's posts and givng lots of  to everyone.

NSD 4 today :T as money for karate gradings already accounted for.

Can I have a target of 10 for this month?
Am going on holiday later in the month but want to be as good as possible before then.
    Thanks a lot :)

Hiya Beanie, nice seeing you here

Thanks to everyone who is valiantly trying to put me off the ipad. I'm just hoping I hold out whilst in Guernsey. They are £100 cheaper there cos they don't have VAT.

Anyhow, I can report a nsd today. Didn't want to go out, spent a lovely day reading and lolloping around the house naked. Brilliant way to spend a hot day.

Tomorrow I'm taking my grandson to the pictures, then to the golden arches, then shopping for the week.
