Wow well done to everyone meeting their targets, you've all done so well!!!! :T

Number 13 for me today :j even gave up the pub tonight so i have a chance of making it!!! (thank goodness for the wine box :D)

Think i have just turned up the wattage on my lightbulb, after realising that my balance transfer rate on 1 of the credit cards has ended & interest is now 22%
Am going to start with not social smoking when i pop to the pub anymore, & i'm not buying any groceries (apart from fruit & milk) until i've used up everything i've got (why oh why do i buy fresh veg every week when i've got a ton of frozen in the freezer???? :()

I've also downgraded the kitchen plan, if i have normal cupboards instead of the fancy wire draw ones i'd picked i can pay a bigger chunk off the expensive credit card, & i'm going to get a lodger as soon as the kitchen is done & the downstairs is habitable  this is something i've been debating for ages & as much as i don't want one because i love my own space it's got to be done, because £300 extra on debt repayments is massive....

Plan for tomorrow, check my utility bills are the cheapest & downgrade my life insurance (i know i shouldn't bother with it at all as i have no dependants, but my mum is useless at looking after herself & i owe my dad so much for making this house purchase possible that i feel i should leave them something in case i die young  just not as much as i have been planning & it's really stupid to have a huge figure for the length of my mortgage as my debts WILL NOT last that long!!)

Right the new improved MSE BDINI is going to wash the pots & head for bed :A please kick me up the a**e if i slip up on this, it has to be done!!!!

Aww thanks Jo, not really feeling down, just realistic, think i gave myself permission not to try in certain areas just because i've been getting NSD's & my SOA now only leaves me 71p over at the end of every month, so just gathering up my determination to do better. The support here is amazing though & i know it will get me through :D & sorry but i couldn't wait till Wednesday, had to hit the wine tonight  (good job i'd already paid for it!! :D)

Today was a D/Debit day for me - so no NSD to add to my total

So I also picked up milk (should have made it to Thursday, which is next D/Deb day, but got a good offer in Mr M ;)), ice-cream (DS finished the one I bought on Thursday before I got home on Sunday evening  ), a tub of mini flapjacks (reduced from £1.99 to 19p as a lot of the label was missing along with a lot of info that has to be present for customers, so staff only sale), and condensed milk and digestives so I can try making the florentines this week.

Have also ordered a new set of headphones for my iP0d, but haven't yet decided whether to charge them to my 'keep fit' budget (they're a "sport" type) or my general budget (which seems more appropriate given the output to the right ear on all my current headphones is on the blink, and it's definitely the headphones rather than the iP0d as I get the same problem if I plug them into my laptop, so will be using them for general day-to-day use as well :o)

Just back from shopping - stocked up on a few bits, got my rose bug spray, plus I succumbed to a hanging basket in BNQ.:)
DH and I had a "meeting" last night and we decided to ease up just a little on our savings regime. It was getting to the point where it was getting a wee bit depressing saving every mortal penny and not strictly necessary. So while this decision doesnt mean wild spending, we are still paying off our debts and covering all our bills,
it does leave us at little leeway for small treats - like a hanging basket.;)
We dont drink or smoke and we're not big on going out so I feel the odd SMALL treat wont hurt. I'll still be sticking to my NSD and GC though, it's too much of a habit to give up now! :rotfl:
    Does this make sense?

I better go and eat something before I keel over - hope your day's are going well:)
Perfect sense, jinty, we all need a little treat occasionally otherwise life becomes very dull - emphasis being on "little" and "occasionally", otherwise we all end up back where we started. Hope you enjoy the hanging basket:)

I managed to get no 20 today, so very pleased with myself:j. I did actually go and spend some money today but only printer paper and a new highlighter and they’re both for work so don’t count. I did mange to avoid the unnecessary spends I was thinking about so pleased with myself for that as well.

Off to do the usual update now, see you all tomorrow.

Are we having a celebration at the weekend? Those who are not at Wol's place of course, although some naughty NSDers might gatecrash it in a virtual (not virtuous) manner....? Come on, folks, we missed Big M's one-woman French invasion so let's celebrate our achievements for July......suggestions please (and don't be filthy).

    Hi Nargle
Yes, I think we should have a celebration this weekend - we've all done brilliantly this month and need to let our hair down a bit.

We could do BDINI's back alley:D with the chavs, or another seaside outing as it's supposed to be summer..

What does everyone else think - any ideas/thoughts?
