Gave up waiting for you lot so paddled my way home--made good time from four miles out of Margate when I got a puncture in me lilo :j Some passing sailing-folk thought the noise came from me personally & couldn't hear my explanations as I scuttled past, so now there's a Belgium family with an everlasting picture in their mind's eye of a flatulent middle-aged person of non-descript gender on a £2:99 day-glo airbed, trying to swipe their chocolate in the middle of the Channel like some demented Red Beard wannabe :( That's not to say I have a beard--red or otherwise--more to do with an ancient wetsuit & one of those goldfish-bowl diver's helmets..plus me customary gerbera corsage had been snaffled by a foreign seagull sad-smiley-061.gif
And THAT'S why I holiday in good ole GB :D

Thank's for cake's and birthday wish's,my kind of day nice and quite and OH in the bad book's cause he forgot to get me a card,he's now making me supper to say sorry.
Glad you had a good day--you deserve it! And personally, I'd sooner have the supper than a card anyway :D A bit late, but here's to a birthday year full of all things good x

....It's her silver anniversary....Hope my friend has a girl as the second cardi is a lovely soft pink! If not my Mum is doing a blue one - got to cover all the bases!;)....
How about a silver photo frame, where they have a wedding pic one side & a 25yrs later pic the other? Or there's bound to be some ideas on the Special Occasions board...a lot of people do hampers with a couple of champagne flutes, bottle of sparkling something [the ready-made buck's fizz stuff is generally very good on taste AND price], a few hand-made chocolates & a voucher to have the kids stay over at yours for the night nudge-nudge wink2.gifwink3.gif

My pregnancies were a l-o-n-g time ago before you could be told what plumbing fixtures were included so I asked for clothing in shades of lemon, pale green & apricot. Nowadays there are some beautiful colours for Bubbs & I still live by the rule that you can put a girl in blue but you can't dress a boy in pink & the jury would have to decide on variants of lavender & turquoise :p

Oooooohhhh--yyyyyeeeeeesssssssssss! I most definitely would :D Half yer luck in having someone give you some dosh :o

I can claim my purdy-tat as from 23:59:59 last night; I'm horrendously allergic to the little mites in real life so I'm going to make the most of snuggling up to my virtual fluff-ball animal-smiley-027.gif There's a good chance of racking up another couple sssssooooo... ..6 days left counting today..one definite spender & a possibility..oh go on! I'll try for another 3 [to make revised total 20] please Spoon _pale_

Just back from shopping - stocked up on a few bits, got my rose bug spray, plus I succumbed to a hanging basket in BNQ.:)
DH and I had a "meeting" last night and we decided to ease up just a little on our savings regime. It was getting to the point where it was getting a wee bit depressing saving every mortal penny and not strictly necessary. So while this decision doesnt mean wild spending, we are still paying off our debts and covering all our bills,
it does leave us at little leeway for small treats - like a hanging basket.;)
We dont drink or smoke and we're not big on going out so I feel the odd SMALL treat wont hurt. I'll still be sticking to my NSD and GC though, it's too much of a habit to give up now! :rotfl:
    Does this make sense?

I better go and eat something before I keel over - hope your day's are going well:)

No way I'm getting to my target this month, but going to do the best I can with the resst of the time... Going to have a nsd today simply because I'm too tired to go out. Had a manic few days and all spend days...

Off to EuroDisney on Friday so that takes Friday to Sunday out of the frame for nsds.

Spoony can you put me down for 10 in August when you get around to setting up the new thread please.
