Oh bless thy holy NSD gang, for I have sinned and I beg your forgiveness!!
After six whole months taking my own lunch to work every single day, and not spending a penny on any extras, somehow this morning I have ended up spending £2.40 on a sandwich and sausage roll!! What makes it even worse is that I also have my packed lunch with me as well!
As I walked down to the lovely bakers I was justifying it in my head - today was supposed to me my day off, and am going away this weekend, but a day at work (lovely overtime pennies) means I will be joining everyone later tonight, and I needed cheering up, and a jacket potato and crisps and fruit would never be enough food for the day, ........ and I've run out of excuses now.
Bad bad bad kate!!Trying to jump back onto the moneysaving wagon .... :cool:0 -
:eek:spend day yesterday due to waxing (o and a sneaky pedicure) :T
Today I was hoping for a NSD but very fed up as has a stupid offer on my house today.... which has really p'd me off big time - people are so cheeky at times.
Deep breath....... but now feel like I want a big fat lunch and then a nice glass of vino later...... I will try my best to succumb!

Back from hairdressers, feel great!
Starving though - lunchtime cant come quick enough!
Herby - thanks for the invite - I love baking but not when the weather's hot! Last week though I did a gingerbread and a banana & date cake as I seem to have loads of dried dates( dont ask me how) I think they were left over from Christmas baking. Both were yummy. (Sorry to toot my own horn, but they were!) That's the problem-
love baking - love eating the baking - not loving the effect of baking on bottom!:rotfl:
Sorry about the ZIT - lavender oil usually calms things down for me if I get one - Im 51, there'e no justice!
Welcome to all the newbies - get your mad hats on, its Wimbledon on Sunday! How about meeting about 11 for drinkies then lunch before taking our prime seats on centre court? Pimms anyone?

Hi everyone,
No NSD's to report yet. Today was grocery shopping and it was one of those shops where I thought "cheap week, don't need a lot" and then somehow spent a fortune.
Since I got home I've been trying to sort out our budget and I've had a huge shock counting up how much we've spent in less than three weeks on food and household spends. I feel quite upset about it. I'm going to really knuckle down now because it feels like the majority of our money is wasted on popping to the shops and then spending £15 or £20 each time.
Excuse my ramblings! Right back to the budget planning and catching up with the posts on here.

And what happens on St Swithins Day? If it rains on St Swithins Day it will rain for 40 days and 40 nights. And when is St Swithins Day? 15th July of course. And how does 3Dogs know this? 'Cause 15th July is my BIRTHDAY that's why. And how old is 3Dogs on her birthday? ......................................................
Come on, that's enough of this silly chatter, I must sort my NSD target out for July ..... cough cough ......
Happy birthday in advance! It's our DD2's birthday on the 15th too 3Dogs. She's going to be 2 - aww. I didn't know it was St Swithins Day though.
It's also our DS's 12th birthday on the 23rd!! There seems like lots of July birthdays on here.0
