Need to find out (and let you know) date of OH's DS1's birthday (which is were I think the confusion has come about)

However I do have a rather nice new dress I got yesterday
But the best thing about it (I guess thanks to having started running) is that it's a size smaller than I'd normally try on - and I'd have been surprised to be comfy in my 'normal' size as it's a close fitting one as well :TCheryl0 -

Another one for me today Spoon taking me to the starry heights of 3 NSD's. Got the first 6 strawberries from the garden today YAY, left them in a bowl on the side whilst I went to see if I could find any more, so I could make a little pud with them for after tea and when I came back there was 4 left and a chomping DH stood over the bowl telling me how nice they tasted grrrrr! He was right, luckily I stopped him and found some more and we had Strawberry, Lemon Verbena and Mascarpone Fool, yum, yum, yum!
Think the salad spuds are ready to pull up as well, and I have a few lettuces ready to use, so will alter the meal plan to accommodate them. Got some whoopsies the other day on a small piece of lamb, some minced beef, bread and pilau rice, crammed them into the freezer, not been getting so many whoopsies lately so I was rather pleased with the haul. Baking tomorrow, got DSS coming for a visit this weekend so using the cherries I got from Aldi to make him Black Forest Muffins and some more strawberries to make Fresh Strawberry Muffins, nom, nom, nom. He'll scoff more than us though, he's almost 18 and has hollow legs lol! Off to catch up with t'other posts now...

Herby - all that baking sounds absolutely delish - can I live at your house please?:rotfl:

Morning all!
Just catching up with the posts, everyone's been posting like crazy!Loads to catch up on in just one day!
Although yesterday was a spendy for me, I ended up in profit. We sold some tiles which we had advertised ages ago and didnt think anyone was interested. Out of the blue someone called and bought them last night - £70 ! That will pay for the tyres tomorrow so we're delighted! Plus, OH got some of his OT paid today so the bank balance is looking a wee bit healthier!
I'm off to get ready for hairdressers, I cant wait to get this hair cut, its driving me mad! Looking forward to lunch with my M&D and sis today, then home for the tennis - GO ANDY!!!:j
Have a great day everyone

Most of my direct debits came out yesterday, and I succumbed to the call of KFC on my way home from work
(not that my OH did much to talk me out of it cause it was his turn to cook
)
And opened the cupboard today to find the bread had got green bits on, so haven't got any dinner today. Either have a NSD and no dinner, or buy some food... haven't decided yet...

More smilie suggestions Spoon, I'll have Johnny Depp
OMG is that ever an incentive for getting to target lol! We could all be pirates of the seven supermarkets. Or how about a lovely NSD Ice Cream
just right for this weather, or a celebratory bottle of NSD champers
(only time I'd be affording it lol!)
Jinty you'd be welcome, be warned baking sprees are sparse at the moment though. Feeling ick this morning my nose has decided to develop a huge spot so I look like ruddy Rudolph 5 months early, flipping sore as well! I'm 46, shouldn't be getting zits at my age, I know it's not the end of the world, but when you have a butt the size of a house having a spot just seems worse than it is.

pure dead dopey: -i'm planning on going this weekend, if it dries up, bad leg an all, determined to get at least one night out of the house.
anonymoose: -have a brill time watching the manics, love them to bits. Always [STRIKE]screeching[/STRIKE] singing "you love us" round the house much to my children's delight [STRIKE]pain/embarrassment[/STRIKE]
candygirl hiya welcome to the challenge - i don't count food shopping/bills as spend days as they are essentials for me. Nothing i can do about it.
hiya to newcomers! welcome to the challenge!
tmven: -sorry to hear about your friends loss x
Thanks for the pony spoon, was chuffed seeing it gallop away on a field of NSD's!:D
Hi all sorry the late post, my bus only just came. Yesterday should have been a NSD, but DS1 insisted that i HAD to leave the house to BUY him a joke book for the talent show. So for the first time in nearly a week and a half i left the house and spent. I was so exhausted, ended up getting a bus there and back (£5) i normally walk as its only 10 mins away but i knew i wouldn't be able to make it. Ended up buying the boys pasties , books, yoghurt's for pack lunches then collapsing at home.
Also found out that the school fair is on today so i'm counting today as a NSD as i have already budgeted the money from yesterday. My reasoning is if the fair wasn't on it would have been a NSD.
So please could you put me down for 10 NSD's as we have a lot of spending to do, i.e MOT, tax etc. So starting small if i get any more NSD's it'll be a bonus. So 1 today, 9 to go.
Wow thats a long post:eek:0
