Your outfit sounds lovely Rainy :)

Char - I quite like the hair bow but I got the weirdest looks when I was in the supermarket this morning. Clearly the good people of Speke are not ready for funky bows!

    Morning,

Today's outfit is a white top, jeans and boots. Boring, but it's raining so I'm dressed for practicality.

Alex - the bow sounds cute. Thanks for the kind comment. Responded on there but not sure if you would see it. Camera is just a Fuji Finepix one that was about £100. I only started taking pics a few months ago, so not really sure what the do's and don'ts are but I'm enjoying it. Would like to take an evening class in photography to learn about it.

On books, I tend to read lots of Richard & Judy's recommendations. Like Jonathan Coe as well and also a good mystery (more Sue Grafton than themale gritty ones). Remember enjoying an American mystery story featuring a little old lady with a cat who seemed to be always solving crimes (it had a really embarrassing cover to be reading in public!) so I do enjoy a feelgood, more quaint style of mystery book.

    xx

Oh and I'm mildly regretting not getting a beaded waistcoat from River Island yesterday. I'm in two minds about whether to whiz back there at lunchtime and see if they've still got it and if it's too big or not. It was a size 16 which I'm not, but it's very beautiful and not the sort that buttons up so I think perhaps it doesn't matter so much if it's a bit big?

Haha I have no shame when it comes to reading embarrassing books in public :D

I've been reading Stuart McBride's books recently and they're good but very gruesome so probably best avoided if you don't like that sort of thing. Try some Dorothy L. Sayers - really intelligent, well written mysteries. Murder Must Advertise is brilliant but I do adore the Harriet Vane ones as well.

I tend to find the Richard & Judy recommendations a bit hit and miss. Some are great but some bore me to tears. I'm one of those annoying types who can't not finish a book so I get soooo frustrated reading stuff I don't like!

I'll second the want for pics of the bow!
And also agree with reading the most inappropriate looking books ever in public..

I do indeed - had to buy loads of butties for the volunteers helping with our outdoor theatre event tonight. Fingers crossed it doesn't rain!

    OOh, that sounds fun alex..
My friend has finally found out some details about her work do, this evening lol. She's so last minute!
No idea what to wear..It's a hog roast in a village pub, apparently dress code is fairly casual - jeans are ok :S Hence my dilemma!

So impressed with the post today lol..Not only have daisy's shoes turned up, also won an item on wed and one yday, both of which arrived today ;)

Has it got an adjuster on the back? Or could you put one on to bring it in a bit if its too big?
