  • The spa sounds lovely, Sarah.

I've been to the car boot today and actually got something - a maxi dress for 50p!
It's one that's only been on a few times and it started at 10am which is a lot more civilised than silly o'clock.

    helllo all.
have had a lovely relaxed weekend, whcih i think is what i really needed!
yday was chester races, so i dressed up in a strapless monsoon floral dress, white with greens, blues and yellows, whcih i teamed with a pale blue shrug, pale blue necklace, and ,y green toadstool irregular choice heels..
i bet on two of the races, and won one of those, so was fairly happy with that, and it didn't rain at all when we were there, although i had been fairyl worried it was going to as it was tipping down at my house when we left!

today i had a fairly lazy dya, wnet to return some library books, then to the office to catch up on all my ebay things, and pack some more sales up, and then to the gym for a couple of hours, and a swim..am now back at the office on the way past, waiting for a friend and we are off to the cinema :)
today's outfit is the floral jumpsuit (again!) with a black cardi and black cinch belt, and some gold croc style sandals from tesco :)

    no rain :)
  • Good morning pf, if i recall the weather was quite nice on Saturday.

Up early, ds1 is going flying today (yes they let him fly the bl00dy thing) so i havn't slept much for worrying :( He'll be fine, he's done it loads of times before, but i can't help myself.

Had a really good car-boot yesterday, got some lovely vintage dresses for 50p each all pinned and ready to be altered. The Laura ashley one is just beautiful and fits perfect. Also got some Clinique make up for 50p each too. Gutted it was the last one.

Wearing maxi skirt made by me, vest, waistcoat and gladiators. I had my hair cut last week too, really pleased with it but i need to colour it. Off out with friend and her daughter today, we have been friends since school and even though we may not speak for months we pick up exactly where we left off, so looking forward to that!!

    Morning all

Spent a weekend pottering in the garden, baking and general chilling. Ventured to the car boot yesterday and picked up two gilets - one brown for £1 and a cream one for 20p, and a topshop cream crochet type jumper for £1, DS's came with me they spent most of the money and came home with 18... yes 18 wrestling figures only because one seller was selling a ring and about 10 figures for £2 the rest were between 50p and £1 each, I dread to think how many they have altogether, we were almost the last to leave to the choruse of 'can we come back next week?', must remember to go to the bank beforehand next time. I enjoyed having a good rummage though as I haven't been to any since the start of the hols.
Did plan on taking DS's for their school shoes today but will see how it goes, they're too bust watching wrestling video (50p from the car boot) and playing with the figures atm.
Washings out - no rain yet so was also hoping to go brambling later - when the boys were bored yesterday as all their friends were out I did mention this to them, I might as well have mentioned going clothes shopping the look on their faces!!!!!

Well I'll stop waffling - off to catch up on blogs.

    Have a fab day everyone

  • It is teaming down here!!

Well i'm fl11pin fuming, you may have remembered an incicdent with my son a couple of weeks ago, well basically, you can steal my son's (£400, pride and joy) bike from him, when he trys to get it back, set your rotweiller on to him, get caught running off by the police, admit to it, go to court and get fined £120:mad: this b00dy country is up the swanny.....

Lola, i got ds2 a box of lego yesterday for £1 it was huge, we reckon there is at least £500 worth of lego in it!! why oh why have i spent a small fortune on toys when you can go to a car boot and pick them up for buttons!!?!! Has kept ALL 4 of them entairtained since 12.00 0'clock yesterday, winnner!!

Sharron that's awful, did he get the bike back?
  • Yes he did get his bike back, that's when he set the rotweiller onto him, he isn't scared of dogs, he said he knew the dog wasn't going to attack him (we are a family of dog lovers, big and small, he knows the danger signs) so made a grab for the bike. Part of me was really proud for standing up for himself, it's what he's been taught to do, but part of me was terrified, what if he had a knife, as i pointed out, the bike is replacable, he is not, and far too precious to us. I think his sense of right and wrong just kicked in. It always amazes me ( i don't know why) that not everyone has the same morals. The lad was 18 and his girlfriend pregnant with his baby, poor baby.
