Alliance & Leicester - New Charges

Don't know if its been said already. Every account has a flag which indicates whether you've met the minimum funding for the month. They obviously forgot to move this flag with your account details in the migration. In another thread people have been saying that they have easily gotten the fee reversed when they called. Well, easily by Santander standards.0

I started this thread and guess what - same again this month so I've sent another email.
Interestingly I got a statement in detailing my "underfunding" dated 27th to 28th July????0 -
I've just logged on and have a 'daily arranged overdraft fee' on my account, which is also a different amount than it should be, but I'm concerned more about what Lemon Tree has written0

Looking at the A+L website, it is now saying for the Premier Current Account
0% EAR typical overdraft rate for your first 4 months when you switch your account to us using our free Account Transfer Service. The rate then changes to 12.9% EAR typical (variable).
Are you sure you are not reading the summary box for the Premium account rather than the "Premier" account which no longer seems to feature as an available account from A&L.

Like the previous poster, I'm a civil servant and am paid on the last working day of the month.
Interestingly I just received a response to my complaint saying I'm not being charged for under funding it's for unauthorised use of my overdraft yet when I log on it cleary states underfunding fee and I haven't gone beyond my agreed limits. They're a complete joke!!0 -

According to the A&L Guide to Interest Rates and Fees (page 3), the underfunding fee is £5 per month whereas the unauthorised overdraft fee is £5.00 per day (up to £100.00 per month). Is your charge consistent with either of these ?

Arggh, have just tried to call Alliance and Leicester customer services as they seem to have applied the underfunding charge to my account twice on the 27th July and the 29th July despite only being underfunded for July to be told that they are experiencing heavy demand and to call back.
Also noticed when trying to transfer that the sort code for my account has now changed, don't know if this matters or not as I haven't heard anything from them about it.
Only bad experiences from this bank since I opened the account.0 -
I have the Premier 50 account and it says on the back of my statement no under funding fee as I pay £10 a month?
I downloaded a lot of the info before it disappeared from the A&L site. I have this as my second account and for the good savings rate I get.0 -

Thank you for pointing this out to me! Well, this is part of the confusion when a bank have similar account names. You are right - I've read the summary box for the Premium account. My account is a Premier account.
I've phoned up A+L and they said they are having technical problems and corrected my overdraft fee. Also, I've been told that the conditions for the Premier account will remain the same (at least in the near future).
However - does anyone know where to look up the conditions for Premier account holder on the A+L websites? I couldn't find them so far.0 -
