    Ohhhh im lucky too....

On the whole my hubby will eat whatever i put in front of him...no apricots though...i think i can live without apricots in my cooking:D

One of his favourites is homemade chicken n sweetcorn soup.....just the carcass for stock, tinned sweetcorn, cornflour and some seasoning... he cant get enough:rotfl: :rotfl: and a big pot full must only cost 30p tops :j ... as soon as he knows im making stock he is in the kitchen, under my feet like a puppy "is it, is it, can we have...oooh chicken n sweetcorn"...

Shopping with him can be a pain in the bum...mainly as he cant help but slide along with the trolley like a kid...he is 42:rolleyes: ....

All in all i know i have a good one, his only interest for "snicky snacky snoos" is either cheese and crackers.... or nuts....so thats not too bad ....

I just prefer shopping without him as he doesnt know just how little i spend then :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh God, my dh is exactly the same, I reckon it's a man thing! I go shopping and spend £20, if he's with me it's more like £80

If he goes shopping by himself (god help us all ) he will ALWAYS come back with the most expensive steak, little expensive bottles of balsamic vinegar or special spices from the speciality range and extortionately priced smoothies that we could make at home for a fifth of the price!

  • Saturday night my OH was at our local ASDA around 8pm and they were reducing their bread to 5p! He decided to get a few loaves/teacakes (9 to be exact:eek: !). That may have been ok if we could have frozen them, but the freezer's choc-a-bloc with food including loaves of bread  .

He managed to get 4 into freezer and gave DD one, used the teacakes Sunday/today so we now have 3 loaves in fridge! They are all 800g size.

I wouldn't mind but we supposed to be on a diet and there's only the two of us at home  . I do not really understand what he was thinking when he was buying them - it was the yellow stickers saying 5p that drew him in LOL!

What a plonker - does anyone else have a OH who thinks he's saving money whilst spending it?

At least he is trying.. It is probably cold enough to put them in a plastic bag and leave them outside for a while. Cover them with snow - that will freeze them :)

awwwwwww - at least he's trying! Albeit very trying :rotfl: :rotfl:!!!

The consolation is that it's only cost you 15p for him to learn that particular lesson :D.

haha at least your OH knows where the shops are, mine wouldn't know where to find asda never mind how to shop, goodness knows what he's do if anything happened to me, he'd prolly stand staring at the fridge wondering why it didn't magically re-fill .

My OH would not have bought them as he would consider that there must be something wrong with them if they were being sold so cheaply! He is firmly of the 'you get what you pay for' school of thought and considers no reduced food or anything else to be a bargain...have tried arguing, fighting, laughing as a means of making him think differently but nothing has worked so far!
