Declaring £299.08 for July
which is £24.08 over budget - I'm quite pleased with that for my 1st attempt, especially given that we've had the month from hell and my eye hasn't been completely on the ball.
Need to have a few more NSDs methinks
Circumstances have changed, and it's going to be tough to bring it home at £275 but it's important to keep trying I think
I think that's the important thing to remember here - even if we don't come in on budget, we are at least trying toAug11 £193.29/£240

I am declaring on £347.36. I am very pleased with this amount (under budget ), but DH and I went to Paris for 5 days so would have spent more at home. Still being part of this concentrated the mind wonderfully and I hope to see my monthly totals dropping. See you all over on the August challenge!
Take care, Gin"It's hard to be a diamond in a rhinestone world"0 -
I haven't spent anything today, so my total for July will be £39.15.
I've just worked out how much I spent on what and it looks like this (i've tried to group things as best as I can): -
£9.80 on fruit and veg
£3.82 on dairy (mainly milk)
£3.29 on 'junk' - (ice creams, sweets and biscuits)
£1.98 on crisps (crisps are not classed as junk, they're a staple in my diet)
£1.97 on pulses
£3.23 on bakery, frozen and meat (bagels, chips and sausages)
£15.06 on toiletries/household stuff
It should have been slightly higher as my dad paid for some of my shopping earlier in the month (probably about £5 worth), but I still would have been under my target amountI've been using up a lot from my freezer which has helped a lot, but will need to stock up again in the future (although my freezer is still pretty full somehow!)
Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100

Spent £2.93 on Thursday (when DD3 came for the day), which left 48p in my grocery budget.
Have not touched it since, so am declaring a spend for July of £59.52 out of £60!
Am so pleased! And grateful to you all - without the challenge I know money would have occasionally haemorrhaged out of my purse!Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!0 -
I am declaring £198.76 - I am so chuffed with myself - already looking forward to next month. Chatting with friends yesterday that have the same number of mouths to feed spending £140 per week!! So glad that I proved it could be done!
Off to find next months board now!0
