Hi all, can you pop me down for £40 for this month please. Think that might be a bit over optimistic as it's a five weeker but going to try!'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Hi
Not been on these pages for a while, but I would like to join in again please. I seriously need to spend as little as possible this month, as I have a lot of expenditure with childrens school trips to pay for. There are 2 adults and 2 kids in my household and I want to spend as little as possible, certainly nothing over £300 for all groceries and cleaning, its going to be a tough one me thinks.
Any ideas, would be great OH is on low fat diet due to medical reasons, so that does complicate things a little.grocery challenge Sept 2012 £21/£3990 -

Hello all!
My budget for July is just £135 but its a 4 week month for me and we're on holidays for a week so just 3 weeks worth of shopping to do.
I'm not getting paid in July so money will be very tight (the holidays and spending money is already taken care of so no problem there).
I need to trawl the boards for cheap meals and recipes to try to stretch the budget in the best way possible.
Hmmmm - beans on toast anyone?0 -

My dad picked some bits up for me yesterday, but didn't tell me how much they were and accepted £10 for everything (including some shorts) so I am going to count it as £5.00 for July (although I suspect it came closer to £6.00!)
I'm back at work next week (well I am if I can sort out actually getting there!) I will probably ask my dad to pick me up a loaf of bread for lunches, as although I don't tend to eat sandwiches, it's easier than messing around with bits. Or i'll make up some pasta salad with what I have. Other than that, I might need some spread and hand soap, but should be ok for everything else.Grocery challenge - Nov: £52/£100
