Love a shiny new thread. Thanks to the team for all the hard work.
Had a bit of a blow out yesterday spending £29.37 in Aldi, Costco and waitrose (so not too bad really) couldn't fit anything else in the fridge if I tried.
The garden has started to produce, have broad beans, carrots and potatoes in the fridge which will be used for tea tonight. Also raspberries. One of my purchases in costco was a case of sugar (15 kg) so I have no excuse not to make jam when the raspberry glut is here.
Hope everyone is raring to go and good luck for July.0 -
Should have said..............I visited Makro about a month ago, stocked up on washing powder, flash etc. This week bought nappies , wipes etc ( for grandson ) so my budget will be purely food lol Will have to try and put a few £ away each month for bulk perchases again lol Although not convinced it works out cheaper but thats another thread lolTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0

hi,
it's just me no pets or anything, but i would like to budget £200 for the month.
that is to include all food and cleaning products etc.....
the only thing that will be excluded will be eating out (sociablly - not out of laziness...)
i used my supemarket last night for the first time - and it was great!!!!!!!!! - saved me a bomb - would have been £40 more as mr A, so i went with mr T's instead.... isn't technology a wonderful thing....

Hello all
Didn't do anything for June, but REALLY going to try for July, as we're now half way through the year!MrsM, please can you put me down for £400 for July? Thanks & thanks to the others who organise this thread - even when I don't post, it's very uplifting to read! :T
DS3 off on hol with GF on Sunday, so 1 week less dearer food lol. He's also going away for a week in Aug, so high hopes for spending a bit less then, too.
I keep trying each month & it all goes pear-shaped after a couple of weeks, but now I'm thinking of planning for Christmas, so got to tighten purse-strings NOW!! 1 August is Yorkshire Day & that's when I start my Christmas file.
