Thanks for starting the thread! Really appreciate it xx
Totally over spent this month, as i've done my leg in, so OH has been buying takeaways etc for him and the boys on the night.
So the plan is now today, to make some quiches and make some hot as its freezing grey and raining again brrrr
So Mrs M please could put £919.40 next to my annual total .Can't believe i've spent nearly half of the budget already.
As i've cancelled the milkman so hopefully i'll feel the benefit next month.
right going to hobble my way to the kettle for a cuppa.

Hi there, I have been lurking on this board for a while now ......this month I have decided to join you in your challenge.
I aim to spend £230 this month on groceries - I want to spend £200 really but don't want to aim too low too soon?
My biggest problem atm is DP spending cash on groceries, not knowing how much he has spent and not keeping receipts
I am a full time working mum with 2 kids - I mean a DP and a 2 year old :rotfl:we have had a rough couple of years financially and just finding our feet now with dp in a permanent job, me declaring bankruptcy a couple of months ago etc.
Look forward to catching up with you all along the way!

Blimey, page 2 already ... Thanks and good luck to everyone.
I had my first shopping day on Saturday. My budget was £40 and I spent £37.29. :T
But that's not all. I have a £20 budget for "home and garden" (aka "bird food"), and I spent just over £17 on that, and I have a £40 petrol budget, and spent £39.70. Then - then - on Sunday I bought some books, and of my £15 budget for books/CDs/DVDs/games, I spent £14.98. Wahey! :j
Everything is the right side of the budget ... for now ...spendy/she/her ***DEBT-FREE DATE: 11 NOVEMBER 2022!*** Highest debt: £35k (2006) MY WINS: £3,541 CASH; £149 Specsavers voucher; free eye test; goody bag from Scottish Book Trust; tickets to Grand Designs Live; 2-year access to Feel Amazing App (worth £100); Home Improvement & Renovation Show tickets; £50 to spend on chocolate; Harlem Globetrotters tickets; Jesus Christ Superstar tickets + 2 t-shirts; Guardians of the Galaxy goody bag; Birmingham City v Barnsley FC tickets; Marillion tickets; Dancing on Ice tickets; Barnsley FC v Millwall tickets0
