    Afternoon all!

Cheryl - I use frozen cream (double and single) in cooking and it's fine. It sometimes splits a bit, but give it a good stir in and it's ok. I've frozen it whippped and 'as is' and would go for as is, as it made no difference imho! No good for coffee, though :(

Hit Mr T in the next town today (had a tesco direct order delivered there - I was not goingt o pay delivery fpr something costing £12!) Not too bad - £70, inc Finish d/w tabs half price (I've tried cheaper ones and they just leave dirt on some things, so I always tend to buy finish on offer now) Napolina tinned toms half price (bought 12 cans - making a total of 33 here... DD thinks I've gone mad!!), 6 bottles of 2L cravendale (2 for £2.50, so I got 2 each of red, blue and green), 52 packs walkers crisps, 10 toothbrush replacement heads for 21.32 (saved lots on that one) and some other 'usual' bits n pieces. Also got a 5p off litre fuel because I spent over £50, so shall give that to DH as my car was filled last week and still has more than 3/4 of a tank (plus his is over £80 to fill and mine's about 50)

Had a takeaway last night - but only £6.25, because I have a throat infection and felt too rough to cook. Dh also bought himself lunch yesterday because I was too ill to make him sandwiches in the morning!!! Need to fnd out how much he spent :)

Hi everyone - well as you can see from my total I'm only 6 days into the new GC and over half my Budget been spent but there have been so many Whoopsies this week, I now have 2 full freezers with 3 Free Range chickens, 2 Pork Joints, 1 lamb joint, 1 Gammon Joint, 1 Beef Joint, various packs of Sausages including Scottish Beef from Lidl which I've never seen in there before but looking forward to trying, also got a few packs of Lean Steak mince etc etc so I shouldn't need to buy any more meat this month and possibly not next month either.:o

On the plus side the Garden/Allotment are starting to produce things which helps with the Budget so not all bad. Promise to stay away from shops until we need Milk and F&V.

    Have a good weekend everyone.:D

Was optimistic yesterday about this challenge which lasted till this afternoon when I felt the urge to look for groceries. However, avoided the shops but now realising how difficult it will be to change.

Afternoon all! I've spent a grand total of £5 today on sausages. :D I love market day. There's a meat van and they sell really good butcher's sausages for £5 and you get 20 thereabouts. Anyway, I've split those down into 2 packs of 8 and a pack of 5 and they've gone in to the freezer. :) Toad in the Hole tonight, or sausage sandwiches depending on how late DH gets back from work.

    KB xx
