Well, it's the 1st day of the month and I have no need of buying any food today so I'm hoping that I can make do for the few days or a week or so without spending on groceries. I'm edited my signature to reflect that I am participatng in this challenge (and hopefully remind me to keep on track).Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

My budget from Weds 30/6 to Tues 27/7 is £61.02.
I spent £13.92 of that yesterday evening on salad bits and loo rolls. I am hoping some of the veg from the garden will be ready soon and I already have a few broad beans and a cabbage given to me by a friend. Hopefully the spends will go down a bit over the summer.
Hope everyone has a good GC in July.Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0 -

Hi Honeybun 16. Welcome to the site. Don't be afraid to post. I think it's one of the friendliest threads on here and although I personally am way off actually achieving my target any month, the support is really valued and my spends would probably be far worse without it!
I spent about £70 yesterday at Mr T's but have only added on £54 to my spends because the rest was on ink for the printer, a magazine for me (which is actually quite a rare treat but we are off to Haven tomorrow for a weekend), a couple of birthday cards and also some Nurofen. I am feeling very poorly today and DS has been ill all week with high temperature, bad cough and as he is diabetic really high sugar levels. He is finally feeling a bit better today but I just feel like curling up and going to sleep. Not sure if I am looking forward to going away for a few days or not!
Will have a bit more to add onto spends later as OH is getting some bits at FarmFoods and the market today on his way home from work.Grocery aim £450pm.Spent £519 August, £584 July, £544 June, £541 May, £549 April, £517 March, £517 Feb,£555 Jan, £573 Dec, £465Nov, £561Oct, £493Sept, £426Aug,£496 Jul, £528Jun, £506May,£498April, £558 March, £500Feb, £500 Jan, £490 Dec, £555 Nov,£566 Oct, £505Sept, £450Aug, £410 July, £437 June, £491 May, £471 April, £440 March, £552Feb, £462Jan0 -

Hubby can order supermarket vouchers through a work scheme and gets 5% off them (totally forgot all about this, although we did it a couple of times last yr!) so we have £300 of Asda vouchers for £285 but obviously don't want to spend that much this month!Went way over that figure last month tho!!grocery challenge jan 17 £ / 350.000 -
