Not long since finished rejigging my freezers (and double checking my stock list).
Meal planning from them over the last few weeks has certainly paid off as, despite adding a few bits such as bread, burger buns and mussels, I managed to totally empty the larger of the fast freeze sections (the one in my built in appliance isn't as big as the one in my stand-alone upright freezer). Mind, this was helped by DS finishing off the ice-cream as I was getting started on the job
I'll need some of the space for essentials I have to get tomorrow (ice cream, sweetcorn and/or mixed veg, and possibly chips), but at the moment the compartment is now full of 500g margarine tubs -- the contents of which will hopefully be frozen enough to transfer to freezer bags just before lunch tomorrow.
15 of them have 125g portions of pasta sauce (the 16th portion only came in at 100g, so is in the fridge and will be used tomorrow lunch time), and another 7 have 250g portions of chicken and veg soup (with an 8th in the fridge for Friday lunch - or I may swap lunches around depending on how long I have when I get in from shopping and having to head out to work tomorrow).
So that's one container of pasta sauce split up (another 6 to go) and one container of soup (another 3 to tackle) - all courtesy of App Foods
Now I just need to get my meal plan for July sorted -- and I must work on using up large items first to free up as much space for the freezer bags as possible, then I can get more sauce/soup into the margarine tubs and frozen
We're certainly looking at a joint being cooked this weekend, as I have a huuuuuge pork joint and 4 pretty good sized turkey breast joints waiting for use !! Either will leave me with bags of sliced cooked meat to go back in, but they never take anything like the same amount of space........Cheryl0 -

Good morning
Please could I join the challenge. This month will be a bit testing for me as broke my foot last week and am currently off work. Four weeks left of this month and have to carefully watch my budgets. Did a big shop the end of last month so I am setting myself a fairly minimal budget of £100 for this month.
Thank you!
Miss P
