....or in 15 mins in the microwave, but it does involve standing over it as you do it.

I wouldn't cook it in the tin in the microwave though!! ;)

Is that all there is to it?
  • It only costs another 19p to get the already boiled toffee condensed milk.

They were right next to each other on the shelf in Sainsburys.

Sorry to butt in, but I thought I would add to this thread. I picked up 2 silicone chocolate mould sets today from Poundland. One is heart shapes and one is ovals:

Ours don't stock them  sob I shall keep a look out though.

I am going to join this thread, I can see myself making some chilli jam and mango chutney, plus some nice chocolates for Xmas, brilliant ideas so far, I wish I could contribute but I'm afraid I haven't done anything so far apart from baking. You are all great and can't wait to get started!

Just thought I'd share this site with you all. It's actually really good for children too (worth a browse through - loads of activities!) especially on the build up to Christmas to keep them occupied, but wanted to share this page specifically with links to MASSES of recipes! Granted, there's quite a lot with american measurements, but we can cope! Just happened to come across random receipes for making your own edible christmas wreath - cornflakes or rice krispies mixed with melted coloured green marshmallows, dotted with something red (was thinking of the red m&ms again personally!!). Mad. Brilliant, but mad!
