Okay. Googled. I had a tee shirt once that I had gone over with a Flymo.

    That's fashionable, huh?

  • SB your post is HUGE!! I honestly don't know how you do it, but completely agree with Maty.

As for my tears in the kitchen, that shall never be mentioned from henceforth again!

I am hoping to get to Matys for the big premiere but I'm on standby for work til 8pm so it's unlikely. Not a happy bunny!!

Hugs for anyone that still needs them.... unlike SB I can't comment on every post as my memory is terrible!

Mr Scotland.... seems really keen, he is at home in Scotland til 3 Jan but has been in touch constantly and calling me when he can get enough signal. His mates know about me and I'm picking him up from the airport. I can't wait to see him! I'm just scared, as everyone is I guess, that I'll get too involved and it'll all go horribly wrong. But I'm trying to not overthink it, not worry and just take it as it happens. We move out of the flat on 5th January so slowly emptying it out and getting ready to clean it all. Haven't found anywhere yet, and I'm hoping we get a sign to tell us what the right thing to do is! I'm off the pad wagon at the moment as I have my deposit burning a hole in my pocket so I've been a bit spend-happy but I'll get back on it soon. The difference this time being I'm spending cash rather than using my credit cards again, which is a good feeling.

Anyway hope all is well xxx

SB I will try and give you a call today if you are around?

Blimey you were up early, assume that means you are working today.

It was such a wonderful, amazing, emotional day and we were tired from all the activity of the last 48 hours. It is no wonder there were tears and there really is no shame in them :o Even the big boys shed some ;)

I'm not a happy bunny either :(, but pesky work does help to pay the bills so I suppose it is allowed :). So do I need my fingers crossed that all crew arrive on time, don't go sick and there are no delays to make them call you in?

    Mr Scotland sounds lovely :D

It is good that you have time to move out and are not in a rush to find anywhere else. I am sure you will find somewhere perfect. After all your hard work debt busting you deserve a few treats, but don't spend too much of that deposit in case you need it for the new place.
Anyway hope all is well xxx

All well here, have bubbly on ice ready for Thursday and will be handing round dip and crisps :T:j:T

  • I was on standby from 3am but as I fell asleep at 8pm I woke up at 1am then couldn't sleep! Had a phonecall from MrS at about 2.30 then laid awake for hours, so decided to get up and pack a bit more but woke up my flatmate up who is on earlies today.... oops!! Managed to get a couple more hours in. I'm really not liking this insomniac business... it get go away any time it likes!

Yes, keep everything crossed that it all runs smoothly. I honestly think I'll get called though so we shall see.

I should be ok with my deposit, one of my lovely friends is letting me stay there as long as I need rent-free although she lives half an hour from work, and I'll be looking after another friends flat while they are away although as she is worried about money, I have offered to help towards bills while I'm there.

I would prefer to know what we are doing about the new place, but I'm not stressing about it too much at the moment and we have time before we need to panic. The only house we saw and loved was snapped up straight after we saw it, so it wasn't meant to be... something else much better is going to come up!

Poo and MW....made my day to see you've posted! Great to see you back and missed you both.

Thought about you often & been concerned as to how you're doing. Wasn't sure whether or not to e-mail and hoped you were both in good health and that real life was just keeping you busy but you'd be back soon..... and then here you are!!!!!! :jDamn good to see you again!! :j:j:j:j

Merry Christmas and please don't stay away again.... at least not for longer than 48hrs at a time, you'll be registered as missing if you do it again!! :p Welcome back. :j Aaaaw...I really missed you :o

SPEIRSO.....Hey stranger! Great to see a post from you too Robert! :j :jSorry to hear you were in hospital and have been poorly. Glad to see you made it home in time for Christmas.

Definately keep the Mike's Mob in your signature, it was your idea in the first place if I remember correctly Beginning of April, just after the One Show was aired...something to do with anything to do with 'dolls house' in the title sounding to much like a really bad horror film? :D In fact, I'm pretty sure it appeared in your signature strip 1st;)...this I remember cause I nobbled it for my signature strip once I realised I could when I spotted poo had added it to hers too!!!:p

Hope to see you online on the 30th to join in the party and stay well hun, see you again soon!:)

    Hi SB :D

Thanks for the welcome back. I have been lurking. I too have missed everybody and will never forget any of you. Looking forward to Thursday and seeing how much they decided to print.

The title of MIKE'S  MOB was my brainchild actually. I had another in mind but the MSE Police were not amused. I ran it past Mike and so it came to be. I think it evolved because we needed a T shirt for the programme.

Glad Poo came back into the fold. I PM'd her this week for a chat and she wrote back. Poor Poo - its been a miserable time of late for her, so its good she's back so we can cheer her up.

Can the organisers of the virtual party on Thursday please tell me what I have to bring. I have some Turkey and Ham left, few mince pies but not much else. Booze ok too.;):p

Mike - will you have someone to hold your hand on Thursday evening - just to stop you knawing the furniture with angst.
I also have not told many people about my part in DIY SOS. If I too make a right plonker of myself then few will know. I will Sky + it anyway and if its OK I will bore anyone who comes within 10 yards of me for the next 5 years.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Happy memories for all of us. You just couldn't make it up could you?:A Janet:cool:

The boys and I were in it together and will watch it together. Seems right.

I've told the important people of course but also don't mention it to acquaintances. Not sure why. Suggestions on a used £20 note please, usual address. People have only recently stopped staring in the window while I'm having my tea or asking what colour paint the front door is as they want the same, and other such interruptions. I suspect it will all kick off again on Friday. Mind you if nobody recognises us in Tesco, I will be a little disappointed!

If it generates some paid work that will be a major plus too...

I'd say you're looking at anything from a new kitchen to a cruise, to a Toyota Yaris. That sort of ballpark anyway.

Already got the new kitchen and the new car (well a year ago) I am thinking diamonds, never fancied a cruise (unless it was Tom)
