Right...Try for a quick catch-up!
Northernlass...hope your day was peaceful. I think your dignified silence makes you good dobby and I'm glad your OH's guilt was maturing nicely.I admit I did use to do the dignified bit but found my OH got over his guilt too quickly or at least forget enough to repeat doing things that he should have known would annoy me! I have since discovered that if I go psycho on his !!!... he remembers my anger more than the guilt he had, seems to work better for me!!
Understand fear of posting as I hardly post anywhere else either,:o Mike's was the first thread I'd posted on but only plucked up the courage the day after it began due to all the lovely messages people had made, everyone was so nice. Really glad I did..formed some great friendships and even those I've never had direct contact with have made me laugh and cry at the messages they posted to Mike. Now I won't shut up! think miggy once said that it was like food for the soul and I understand exactly what she meant,I hope that both you and greyfox don't retreat to lurkdom & pop in as often as you can....we're a friendly bunch and not the least bit scary so welcome aboard and find a comfy spot to sit on the 30th...pop on a a purple hat so you'll be recognised & we'll see you there!
TMIF...sorry you were in a pooey place, hope Christmas dragged you out of it! Aaaw...sorry to hear waxing lady gave you a complex with your hairy toes. Don't be embarrassed by it hun..Mike has worse stories than that about toenails and I told Matymoo a disgusting little tale about my toenails that almost made her vomit!.:o..I'd tell you but.......hmmmm...actually, might be useful to let Northernlass and june.elizabeth in on it as it could be useful as payback to OH's!!!! Oh I am wicked!
june.elizabeth...welcome back hun and well done you for not bashing OH with crutches. Being such a good wife makes it very difficult for the bad ones (like me!) to pretend we're not bad at all...please tell me you at least took care of almost every whim through gritted teeth and mutterings to yourself that he was a pain in the !!!! :rotfl:
Greyfox....Hemlock? Is that anything like arsnic or mickey finn? Is it odourless, tasteless and colourless and does it show up in the blood?....Any idea where someone might get hold of it?..just wondered?
Fermi... Thanks for the bump on the old thread..someone said you were one of the good guys, I'm inclined to agree. :T
Ianbal.. Not sure who you were or what you did but whatever it was...you did good! I know that for a fact cause the house looked amazing. Made a lot of us very happy to see things turn out right for Mike and his boys so massive thanks to you and all those that contributed their time and expertise to help such a lovely family. :T
My sympathy to Butti, Nic and Psycho for being bogged down with coursework, dig deep ladies, it'll all be worth it in the end. Congrats to Psycho on passing last one :T...and helloooo..new fella?? Details...spill? Hope he turns out to be as lovely as he seems but already know you're as lovely as he tells you you are so there's no need to doubt what he says, accept the compliments because they're truth. The last two guys were obviously pillocks and matymoo is right re..princes and toads, the hard part is identifying the toads that start off in disguise as a prince which must be the case of the last two. Fingers crossed for you that this ones the real deal and a genuine prince...give it a chance hun.
Butti..sorry to hear your romance ended. Not convinced 18yr olds are the joyboys they're portrayed to be, probably cause I live with one. My experience of teenage boys tells me they're lazy and smelly and that a good time to them is playing computer games and drinking too much whenever the opportunity arises so good luck with that one!;)
BILLIE..Hope you're enjoying some time off. Love your idea for celebrating OH's 60th throughout the year. Your Christmas plans sounded lovely...and amazingly calm, how do you manage it all and still seem so serene? I'm frazzled! Looking forward to the 30th and haven't forgotton your New Years resolution to make time for yourself....looking forward to the meet!
Happy...sorry if I worried you my lovely, my plan to send OH out to do all the shopping didn't happen, neither did any thought of on-line shopping so much to my horror..I had to go out! 3 days running, hated every minute of it of course but needs must. Will spend 2011 learning which shopping websites are most useful and do it all online next year. Actually, I think I'd like to do a lot of things differently next year and plan things so that sleep is scheduled in!!!! Hope you didn't have to work all through Christmas and enjoyed your day. Glad things are looking brighter for you & that you're back to your usual cheery, positive self. Stay Happy!:)
Miggy..Just noticed that your Mum had to have operation done. Hope she's recovering well? Sorry to see the washing machine wouldn't co-oporate & keep going till Christmas was out of the way, couldn't have made things easy for you and very time consuming when Christmas planning leaves us little time to spare anyway. Most of you ladies seem to take things in your stride and remain calm under pressure but I think if It had been me, the washing machine would have been my breaking point!!!! (right wimp aren't I!)Really wishing you the best in 2011 and hope you enjoyed a worry free day yesterday despite everything that's happened recently.
:)
Matymoo..Thanks for the e-mailed Christmas greeting of man shovelling snow...gave me a chuckle.:rotfl: Hope you had a Happy Christmas...so what did you do & what d'ya get?
Nic.. Memory isn't that great...I missed several family birthdays recently! Will check t-shirt later to check spelling of Speirso, I think you were right & I was wrong but let you know later.
Lucky you on waterfall cardi, I didn't realise it was a one day offer so was several days late in getting one! Well done on getting extension, glad you've got some time off work to unwind, sounded as though you need it. Will reply to emails as soon as hun, sorry not been around to help in any way but been thinking of you lots. Hope Christmas with Mum and Dad went well and that all ordered presents were delivered despite the snow!;):)
Mike.. Loved the clips with snippets of the programme. Can't wait to see it all. Hope you're not getting nervous, not long to go now.;) I have a box of tissues on standby here as I think I'll need them, especially considering the number of times I sniffled while there. :oDidn't realise I was such an emotional numpty!!!! Wasn't planning on telling people I know when it's on in case there were any snippets of me blubbing and making a tit of myself but had a call from my MIL to say she'd seen it advertised so that put paid to that!:rotfl: Quite used to making a prat of myself...just never did it for TV before so forgive me for hoping any evidence is laying on the cutting room floor.:o I just wanted you to know that I hold you totally responsible!!! :pI was fine until you came out of the house and............ and then when Sam ..... sniff... and then Jack said...... sniff....then again when I saw the boys saying goodbye and thanks to......:o:o:o:o
then Niccatw had to....... sob :o
not forgetting the supermarket car park when Matymoo &......Oh god....sniff...Psycho & the kitchen...:o
aaaaaw....poo, I'm off again!:o:o:o:o
In the words of Vinnie Jones....it's been emotional! In my own words, had the time of my life & wouldn't have missed it for the world.....sniff....:pPROUD MEMBER OF

Poo and MW....made my day to see you've posted! Great to see you back and missed you both.
Thought about you often & been concerned as to how you're doing. Wasn't sure whether or not to e-mail and hoped you were both in good health and that real life was just keeping you busy but you'd be back soon..... and then here you are!!!!!! :jDamn good to see you again!! :j:j:j:j
Merry Christmas and please don't stay away again.... at least not for longer than 48hrs at a time, you'll be registered as missing if you do it again!!Welcome back. :j Aaaaw...I really missed you
SPEIRSO.....Hey stranger! Great to see a post from you too Robert! :j :jSorry to hear you were in hospital and have been poorly. Glad to see you made it home in time for Christmas.
Definately keep the Mike's Mob in your signature, it was your idea in the first place if I remember correctly Beginning of April, just after the One Show was aired...something to do with anything to do with 'dolls house' in the title sounding to much like a really bad horror film?In fact, I'm pretty sure it appeared in your signature strip 1st;)...this I remember cause I nobbled it for my signature strip once I realised I could when I spotted poo had added it to hers too!!!:p
Hope to see you online on the 30th to join in the party and stay well hun, see you again soon!:)PROUD MEMBER OF

That's a fib isn't it!!!!
I have a bad memory - I didn't even remember mentioning hairy toes, and now you drag it out again... :P!
Hope everyone had a lovely crimbaloid and boxing day, and has even better plans for the next week...
Really looking forward to the 30th
Ahh time for bed xx0 -
Well you have all been busy posting and I have just caught up. Had a wonderful Christmas and was totally spoilt. Went to Midnight Mass which is always the start of Christmas for me and lighting candles on my dad's grave - still miss him dreadfully and as I put on his wreath "Christmas evokes such wonderful memories". Have a couple of days off to enjoy my boys company; at work for 2nd job on Wednesday and Thursday and off on 31st. So Happy Miggy am up for getting sloshed on the 30th - well along with the tears!! The airwaves will get blocked with all the threads flying back and forth. Billiexx:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Thanks SB, just made me cry again  Tesco car park will always remind me of you
Had a lovely Christmas spent with my 2 sister's, BIL, Niece's, their OH's dropping in, guests from Australia & Finnan the mad Dog.
Went to Midnight Mass (love Carol's), went to bed to make sure Santa would come, got up early to find lots of presents under the tree. Spent hours unwrapping lovely thoughtful gifts, drank lots, ate even more - a lovely day. Even if my youngest niece did slip over and possibly break her wrist
(The hospital can't actually see if it is broken for now)
We have a habit of recycling things and I found a box that had been lovingly covered in Christmas paper by my Mum up in the loft which I used for a little top for my middle niece. I took off what I thought was the original label to me and found underneath it another label from Granny to said nieceI carefully stuck a new label on the top. When she was opening it they all said that's a Granny box and the tears started, I then suggested she removed my label and more tears flowed. Soppy lot that we are, but I am so pleased that these little things mean that Mum is always remembered
She was the Rock of our family and there is a big hole in our lives without her, but as she once told me "no-one is dead as long as someone remembers then".

I'm another one that had lurked for ages and only registered to be able to post on Mike's thread and I have also made some great mates, one of whom I definitely don't want to shut upShe is the most wonderful, caring person who remembers everyone and everything as tonights epic post proves! She is there with the tissues and tena whenever needed
We therefore forgive her for disappearing every now and again when family need her.
But she does also have some awful tales to tell that would make your hair curl and does have some disgusting habits :rotfl:SouthernBellE* wrote: »In the words of Vinnie Jones....it's been emotional! In my own words, had the time of my life & wouldn't have missed it for the world.....sniff....:p
And how true this is
To everyone reading a very Happy Christmas and here is to a better year ahead for all of us, I can't say it as well as SB but I hope you are all OK and coping with whatever troubles have come your way, be they financial, educational, emotional, family, health.
Much love

SB, your 'quick catch ups' are a joy!
I was getting worried I might miss the Big Day as family visits had to be scheduled for this week, but we've done a bit of rearranging and I'm hoping FIL will record it for me on his all-singing, all-dancing system that does everything except the washing up.
Talking of washing, there were five bin liners of laundry plus a hamper best-part full of handwashing, but thankfuly some kind friends have done a couple of loads so we are still decent and approachable... didn't like to think I might have to revert to DH's saved-for-decorating tee shirts to celebrate Christmas!
Mum is doing okay, thanks. She broke her hip and had it pinned but the nature of the break is such that she has to stay off her feet for a couple more weeks. The hospital staff are lovely.
So I may not be here to celebrate the prog, at least not on line, sorry. However I shall be watching! Meanwhile I am sending some virtual highly boozy Christmas cake and this 'ere mulled wine and hoping someone will do the honours on my behalf and crack them open on the night? Please?

Ahhh Miggy that it so sweet of you, we shall be mulled out at this stage and of course would be only too happy to get it warmed and pass it round, but of course would be better if you could be here, but fully understand. Getting so excited......:j:j:j Was trying to explain the situation to my eldest two DS's lasy night - I think I have just confirmed that mother has lost the plot. Mike you okay? Wonderful posting as usual SB. Just hope I can identify some of you on the reveal having not been there.... Billie xx:j I belong to Mike's Mob :j0

Think you've got problems? Gotta try and explain to an increasingly deaf mother why everyone calls me Lisa. This isn't going to end well.
