Thank you. The address to which this site sends notification of action on the thread's playing silly covert surveillance listeners.

I absolutely agree. They are more than some books but these are brilliant quality - as good as anything in a book shop, but short-run books are not cheap. I make a couple of pounds for each sale, if that helps clarify things.

Ah, so this is vanity publishing?

Did you try offering the script to any normal* publishing houses? (*ie. ones that don't ask for money up front, and pay you a percentage for every copy sold even if an advance [paid to you] is not forthcoming).

I may need to talk to BBC Books too. I am checking with the Beeb about copyright issues using their name or images or screen grabs.

Given the content and connections of your book, I would have started by approaching the Beeb.

I wonder if Martin might consider doing an article on "MSE" publishing?
There are a fair few aspiring as well as published authors on this site. I'm sure the former would appreciate such a guide, while many of the latter must have useful experiences to share.

Good Luck with the project, Mike. :)

ps. Like you I'm too long in the tooth to twit. However Martin does see and respond to comments on his FB page if you're having trouble bringing your book to his attention.

Hi, not vanity publishing – self publishing. Many people on here and dozens who helped during the build said they wanted a memento. Publishers don't do books such as mine as the market is too niche.

I don't use Facebook but maybe someone here could do it.
