Sometimes a holding pattern is all you can do. Look at it this way Mike, if the end of the world is going to happen in December you'll have won  (and saved on Christmas shopping!)

Is it really 2 years since the Big Build? Sometimes it seems like yesterday as I have seen it several times on the Home channel on Virgin:D Happy Anniversary.

Sorry I havent been in much I have been in a pickle firstly with depression (I am much better than I was although I do still get anxiety attacks), I had some debt but now I don't have as much debt as I did before but I am not yet debt free. I am divorced (done by myself which has saved £3K in legal fees), just need to get the absolute. I am moving from my flat into a house and my parents will be my landlords. This is the house move from hell because the vendors have been vile and are still being vile - we are due to get the keys on Monday but if their poxy furniture is still there then the money will be withdrawn from them and they will incur breach of contract penalties until they clear the house. This is causing a great deal of inconvenience because I am due to move out of this flat on 30 June.

I am surrounded by boxes and bin bags as I am slowly sorting myself out and stuff is being binned, taken to the charity shop or packed away. What is wierd is that there is a chap at the charity shop who has taken a shine to me - he made me a cup of tea last weekend and gave me his life history and then he told me when he would next be in the shop, so I made a point of not going in on Tuesday. He is 32 but he has been a bit of a naughty boy and I am not sure I want to be entangled with someone who has a violent past - I am happy on my todd and have no time for men and their shenanigans just yet:rotfl:

Hope all is well with you and yours Mike and that your little house managed to escape the floods?

Vile people deserve to be fined. Maybe a week late but a few grand better off would cheer you up? Moving's bad enough... why are people such berks?

Hope your health is much better.

And OMG don't get involved with someone with 'form', specially violence. Leopards don't change their spots.

Of course not all men have shenanigans. Just almost all. I had mine removed when I was 12.

Floods were about half a mile away but too close for comfort.

    Have a great weekend

Horace, lovely to hear from you but so sorry you've had all this to contend with.

Mike, you have a good point there. :)

    And there.

But on the other hand a bit of positive attention is a compliment and once you get the house and can start making it your own... well, sounds great! Plus all the sorting out now means you get to start again with just the things you choose to have around you.

Is that when you became Lisa? (Sorry, feeling a bit mischevous [prob. spelt wrong])

I thought if you moved into a house and the vile people had left their vile furniture it was up to you what you want to do with it. It's on your property. You could play them at their own game and be REALLY vile!

Also have a look at the 'Vendors left rubbish' thread on MSE's forum.
