That's really awful Mike. So glad she saved her photos, but the rest is terrible.
As you'll gather, flood stories live on in memory for a long time. It's such a major disruption and some people are quite traumatised.
I hope they can put her home back together and in good time too. I had never thought of the repercussions for people in bungalows. Here people were ferrying things upstairs.
The other thing that is worth mentioning in case anyone drives through flooded areas: go slowly or the wash from your wheels makes things considerably worse indoors.Miggy

:hello:
Thought I'd pop my head in to say hello, been too long since my last visit so I have lots of reading to catch up on but I hope everyone's keeping well?
2nd anniversary of the whole DIY SOS thing so I thought I might have been missing out on an on-line knees up...where is everybody?
Just noticed The Littlehampton 'Big Build' is showing on the home channel tomorrow at 8pm so I'll pop back tomorrow night to see if anyone's about, I'll bring cake just in case.;)
Anyway....think about you all often and will try harder to pop in more often.
love to all and hugs to all those in need of one.
