Just a very quick rant.... I asked for a month unpaid leave over christmas, DENIED. I asked for 26/27 and 31/1 today, 15 minutes after the email came out offering it, DENIED. Yet, other people who sent the email after me have been given it!! I'm not a happy bunny My first christmas and new year with MrS and I won't really see him at all or really have much time to be going home and actually enjoying it.

Anyway, sorry for a selfish rant... at least I am warm and dry and have lovely people all around

Psycho - can you appeal? I tend to volunterr to do New Year so I can ask for Christmas and so far it's worked.

Unfortunately, in the words of that annoying man off the bank advert... 'it doesn't work like that'! As most of us do a 6 days of 3 days off pattern it's just how it falls, but to keep offering unpaid leave and denying me is just harsh! x

I watched your episode of DIY SOS the other week on DVD to cheer myself up when I was on a bit of a downer and it was lovely to see all those lovely mobsters and smiling faces again! :hello:

Whenever I've seen it I'm reminded of a really happy time as well as things I'd forgotton about and usually notice something I hadn't really taken note of before.

Don't laugh but....you know the bit towards the end, after the house had been revealed to you Mike? There's a shot of you when they brought the boys in and the boys are both hugging you with their backs to the camera so all you can see is the huge smile on your face...the bit where you say to them 'you should see more of it'?....following so far?

Off to have a read to catch up again & sorry for disappearing last week, OH was due in from the pub so if I disappear again abruptly you'll know why. (just in case, hope everyone's well & hugs to you all whether you need one or not!)
