If only to vindicate myself I will answer my critic's, firstly Kwikbreaks's is wrong with the link 18185 it does not work, I have already been down this route, try it yourself but go right to the end of the trail and see if you can get a useable emails address and try and send a email to it.

I don't care if you think that you can't ring from overseas to the UK, only you can check this is wait until you are abroad and try it, I promish you that our company does just that, why I am doing this I don't know, But I have looked up an invoice from 18185 and the number we wanted was prefixed like this 020-0044754341--- (I've taken the last 4 digits off for security). so it appears that 18185 puts in whatever is required.
My friend, we are not doubting that you called from abroad.
What you are missing is that your mobile provider is responsible for the call abroad to the UK. In other words, the call from France to the 18185 0208 number is billed by O2 and the connection from there is handled by 18185.
If for some reason you were not billed by O2 for the calls from Europe, count yourself lucky. This part has nothing to do with 18185.
If O2 are now charging you for these calls, take it up with O2, not 18185 and hope they don't back bill you for the past calls.
Don't embarrass yourself by contacting 18185. Your problem is with O2, if you have a 'problem' at all.
Check the O2 bills and tariffs.0 -
What link might that be - I didn't post any links although others did. It appears that you have problems reading this thread as well as the 18185 information that they only offer a UK to overseas service and not the reverse. If only to vindicate myself I will answer my critic's, firstly Kwikbreaks's is wrong with the link 18185 it does not work
I don't dispute that you can call the 18185 access number from a mobile abroad as it is after all only a UK geographic number.
I don't dispute that you'll get a charge from them for using it.
What I do dispute that it will magically avoid the mobile operator charge for the call.
Feel free to continue wasting your money though.0
