Look lads I'm sorry you don't belive me when I say we have 5 employees that when they go on holiday and they want to contact us or clients they use this system and up to now it has worked but the last time from Florida the bill from O2 was £20 and this hasn't happened before. below is what I get our guys to do, I hope tris helps, all I wanted was to know if 18185 was still in business or a proper telephone or email address that works .

    From mobiles*:
Dial 020 81 80 2828, wait for the voice prompt and enter the follow-on telephone number. After dialling the follow-on telephone number do NOT press the green "send" button on your mobile again otherwise the call may be carried by your mobile operator!

I think you just haven't spotted the bill before because calling any UK number from a mobile phone in the US will get billed by the mobile operator. All you've succeeded in doing is to add 30 seconds to the call and an extra 1p a minute to 18185.

Looking on the brighter side if 18185 have gone bust you might have avoided the extra 1p a minute.

Here is a link to what the OP has posted in post no.12

But I fail to see how you could dial 0208....from a mobile while in the USA, surely you'd need to start something like 0044.

If you look at this link you'll see that you can't use it outside of the UK
Unfortunately we do not run a service outside the UK and our organisation does not have plans to venture outside the UK within the near future.

I suspect the confusion is because the mobiles used do not need the 0044 prefix number when calling the UK.

I have a TESCO mobile, and if I am abroad and call the UK, I just dial the normal number, no 0044 needed, so to call 020 81 80 2828 I would just dial 020 81 80 2828. The host carrier, in Spain for Tesco, is Moviestar, it knows that this is a UK phone and automatically knows it is a UK number being dialled, however the cost is whatever the mobile rate would be from Spain, not the UK rate.

Obvious I would have thought - you need internet access to be able to read it ;)

18185 is alive and well and saving lots of people money that use the service as it was intended.

    You can contact them here
    http://18185.co.uk/customerservices/customerserviceslogin.php

If you ring the access numbers whilst roaming abroad your wasting your money. Its a service intended to be used from the UK for outbound calls.

I think the sustained silence from the OP speaks volumes.

No need to add to embarrassment by bumping this one up again....

If only to vindicate myself I will answer my critic's, firstly Kwikbreaks's is wrong with the link 18185 it does not work, I have already been down this route, try it yourself but go right to the end of the trail and see if you can get a useable emails address and try and send a email to it.
    Next
I don't care if you think that you can't ring from overseas to the UK, only you can check this is wait until you are abroad and try it, I promish you that our company does just that, why I am doing this I don't know, But I have looked up an invoice from 18185 and the number we wanted was prefixed like this 020-0044754341--- (I've taken the last 4 digits off for security). so it appears that 18185 puts in whatever is required.

    Thanks ucan109,

Before being sidetracked your original question was "There is no contact number or email address for 18185 that works, I think they have gone, no more, finished, kapoot."
I was having the same problem as my new Credit Card details were not being updated through the Web Site and I couldn't find anyway to contact them.

So Thank You also to Ypaymore for the link.
As a matter of interest where did you find the link?
