now i am even more adamant that the public sector scum should pay for what they have done.
this pay freeze for two years is a charade. most have agreed pay deals to take them past it, and most will get a payrise as they move up the pay scale - because in public sector, you get promoted on length of service rather than ability.
I hate the public sector, i really do.
still, i suppose a small pay rise is better than no pay rise.

Small to one person is loads to another. What did you get? £500?
To me, £200 is small, £1000 is passable, £2000 is fab, £5000 is unbelievable/they must have made a mistake.0 -
i could cry when i see the amount of tax that I pay every month - that is one of the biggest injustices in the world. and for what? so my bins are collected fortnightly? No, because I pay extra tax for that lark - no, its mainly for public sector scum and their huge pensions.
A proper pay freeze for the public sector, ie no one, no matter what promotion or deal previously agreed, should be implemented. This should last for a decade.
Maybe after 10 years they will be on a reasonable salary. although, it will still be too high.0 -

I don't see how anything I have done in my job in the public sector has had a direct effect on your employer. I have made hundreds of thousands pounds in savings for my local authority over the years. If you don’t like your job and you are good enough, go elsewhere, otherwise dry your eyes give your face a wee wash and get back to the grindstone.

i have called many public sector workers scum to their face. don't take offence, its not personal. I am not calling you as a person scum, just your job and everything you stand for.n no offence.0 -
Erm, it's not intended that public sector staff get their annual
Increments or cost of living increases. As I understand it, the pay freeze for those on more than £21k means exactly that.

Correct, the freeze is a freeze and in fact most like mine only give an increment on performance and no longer on duration of service.0

One of my previous public sector jobs was electronically intercepting the pay rises of hard working families, and diverting them to a quango that dealt with basket weaving classes for foreign bogus asylum seeker prisoners on the dole who had been released early.0
