I agree that the really cheap value stuff is rubbish as you end up having to use twice as much but the own brands are fine no problems at all, I would never by branded toilet paper just dont see the point :p

I took three pack of Izal from my MILs house clearance to a car boot. Almost the first thing to sell.

PS Charmin blocked our drains, man from the council said it had doubled his call outs.

Put the Izal on ebay - should sell to a collector, but then again nostalgia's not what it used to be:rolleyes:

  • I always buy mine from the pound shop - I got 8 rolls for a quid last time (not sure of the brand, but it did the job!).

I'm off there later to restock. Will let you know how I get on!

:rotfl: You've just put me in mind of that other advert - you know, the soft focus one where various (mainly young blonde) women (apart from the older brunette who's applying her lipstick - I have researched this very well) are twittering on about something in the loo paper which will make them "extra clean".

Is this some kind of soft !!!!!!? Has anyone rushed out to buy said product (don't know what it is so it clearly didn't work!) in an effort to maintain an "extra-clean bottom"?

I also used to use the value stuff, until I went on holiday and got the nastiest stomach bug ever. I went to my doctor and he said it could last anything up to a year

Man, that is a NASTY tummy bug! I didn't realise they could last that long - you poor thing! :(

  • I have tried the cheaper toilet rolls, and cannot stand them, I can tell immediately that its not as nice!!

I just buy whatever is on offer, and I go to Makro sometimes and get the huge packs of BOGOF, whatever brand it is, I don't mind the tesco's own brand but definately not the value one, it feels like sandpaper to my delicate undercarriage!! :rotfl:
