  • have you thought off recycling your newspaper ,cutting them up in little squares and ,well you know the rest .Probably the best use off the Sun newspaper I can think off.

...surely the Guardian will give more sheets per page? :D
  • :rotfl: lol at you lot, in our house we usually have charmin, BUT that is because we buy it at my work, 24 rolls bogof, so its 48 rolls for £7.49 so it works out about 15p a roll. But when they havent got that offer on/or something simaler we either use morisons value or morrisons own brand, i personally can tell a small bit of difference but to be honest its once in a blue moon as those 48 rolls last about 5-8 months, running out slowly though so will have to buy some more soon :D

There have been previous postings about the luxury stuff clogging up the toilet - you may want to factor in a plumber :) we buy what ever is cheapest/on offer!!!

    I buy, I choose......

I don't buy the cheapest tesco stuff - it genuinely does irritate my skin, but I do buy their next version up (not able to nip to the bathroom at the moment, we're having repairs done) - its still cheap, and it does the job just fine. I could only accept using luxury if you're the kind of person that blows their nose with it all the time - but even then why not just buy a pack of decent tissues?

I'm sat here remembering Izal  my gran used to have it - there was a rough side and a shiny side

We had 'Izal Medicated' at school:eek: It is still on sale in Tesco, and I just have to threaten my kids that we are going to change to Izal and there is a dramatic improvement in the usage rate of toilet paper in our house!!

Good to see that Izal is still available, but I can't seem to find any 'Lifeboy Carbolic Soap' to match:rolleyes:

I also used to use the value stuff, until I went on holiday and got the nastiest stomach bug ever. I went to my doctor and he said it could last anything up to a year. My bum was getting very sore from being wiped so often with the cheap paper and we were going through loads of it. Having switched to Tesco Luxury my bum is much happier and it does last a bit longer.

Saying that when ever we get over the bug will probably go back to value stuff!

Tried that Charmin stuff once...cost of plumber over £200  Never again (think I was diddled a bit by plumber as could have bought a new loo for that) Now Tesco value. No ripping, no clogging, no problem!
