Don't people find that the 'luxury' rolls make a lot of dust? They seem to shed fibre all over around the roll holder...0

It is nice to know it has survived - but who on earth buys it?? I may have to stakeout the loo roll aisle at Tesco.......
I used to stack shelves at Tesco on the night shift and i often ended up stocking out the toilet paper/kitchen roll aisle if i finished my set aisle early.....(as its an easy aisle so was usually left till last)..
I can honestly say in the 10 months i worked there.. i only ever saw 2 rolls of IZAL leave the shelf -(sad that i counted i know:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) and we NEVER got new stock of it on delivery.... so i DO wonder why they actually stocked it???
P.S. im a sainsburys basics girl myself...0 -

Blimey! It's amazing what you can learn on here innit?!?
Thanks - you saved me from lurking near loo rolls :rotfl:0 -
SWMBO always insists on the luxury loo roll (usually bought on a BOGOF basis) because, quite simply, it's much kinder on the nether regions.
I can't see why quilted rolls are claimed to block the loo - unlike kitchen rolls loo paper is deliberately intended to basically disintegrate in water and thus be easy to flush away.
That's why kitchen roll will absorb water and loo paper falls apart.0 -
You've all missed the important point - one just cannot get value rolls to match the colour of one's suite!0

I bought 10 rolls of Saxon toilet roll from Aldi £1.89, I was very surprised as its excellent quality for the price and is as good as any luxury toilet roll ive tried in the past.
Going to try Asda's value at 12 rolls for £1.14 next just to see what its like, if i dont like it ill stick to the Aldi ones.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 126 :j

I suppose that you could always change your suite to match the colour of the bog roll:rolleyes: :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I'm loving this thread...there is a permanant argument in my house about the amount of loo roll me and my sister get through. My Dad goes to Makro at least once every 2 months and gets two 24 roll packs on BOGOF. So thats 48 rolls of paper in 60 days we get through. He swears we are either eating it or hiding it from him and one day he'll come home to find hundreds of these missing toilet rolls in his wardrobe or something.:rotfl:Don't let the b*st*rds get you down!0

Hmm, we've had similar arguments, I usually want the cheaper stuff but my oh wants quality. Our experiments have shown that nouvelle is possibly the worst on the market in terms of thickness and startability. It is impossible to opena roll without wasting half the roll as it is stuck down in such a way you can pull a sheet off. With the econonmy stuff I have noticed that the children use more of it when we have it, maybe because of the thin feel to it.
So now we but shop own brand but not the cheapest and we find that it lasts longer therefore saves us money.
This is improvement to me as my oh was a firm Andrex man before we met
