As far as I can tell there is only one good reason to buy Izal Medicated:
No one ever tells you that they have used the last of the toilet paper - they all assume that you have a never-ending supply in the cupboard (and it is always when YOU go that you find you are out of paper:mad: .So, if you buy one roll of Izal, and when you find that you are out of paper, put that on the loo roll holder. They will soon let you know that you need to buy Toilet Paper
Doesn't work with Tesco Value Paper though - they won't be able to tell the difference:rolleyes: :rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Good to see that Izal is still available, but I can't seem to find any 'Lifeboy Carbolic Soap' to match:rolleyes:
:rotfl:
It is nice to know it has survived - but who on earth buys it?? I may have to stakeout the loo roll aisle at Tesco.......0 -

Everyone knows there is an never ending supply of toilet paper - we keep ours next to the never ending supply of toothpaste, shower gel and razor blades.
Your plan won't work - cos it's the toilet roll fairies who take the last pieces, and they can't talk.....:rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Yeah, but they always leave a shiny five pence piece under your pillow as payment. What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -

Is that the same crowd that wash all the dirty mugs that my kids leave all over the house?:rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.

Great thread - thanks for the giggle.
I usually go for own brand - not the cheapest, but the next step up, and I find it perfectly adequate. Sainsbury's have something upmarket on offer at the moment, 12 rolls for the price of 9, which works out about the same price as their own brand so I thought I'd give them a go. I must say it feels nicer to the touch, and it tears off at the perforations, which the other stuff rarely does, but I'm not convinced it's any better at doing the job it's intended for, so I won't be paying full price for it when the offer ends.
I had to laugh at GP's rant about marketing, particularly the razors... I caught OH looking at these new multi blade jobbies in Boots last weekend and asked him if he'd been taken in by the media hype. And it makes me laugh that they're so expensive, they have to be protected with security tags!

No wonder that the most shoplifted item is Gillette razor blades! It is cheaper to buy a new razor, with 2/3 blades than to buy refills.
Haven't tried the Tesco Value Blades yet, though. Maybe GP has an opinion.:rolleyes:I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
