That is great news. Only a tenner for me this week but that is good when added to the tax refund and the water £100 pay back all within the same week.

I get your point! He'd have to get a job! We've always said we'll support the kids while they are studying and/or getting a first job etc, but we won't support them to do nothing, so we'll be charging him board from Sept.

He was working at Glasto, he's had a summer job for the last four years or so working on burger vans round all the festivals so he is pretty sorted when it comes to organising that. He was supposed to be back home this afternoon to do his form, but as yet, 11.15pm, he hasn't shown up. :mad: I want to leave him to it, DH is more inclined to nag!

Thursday ~ Master bedroom & landing
Level 1
Check fire alarms are working
Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers.
Fling open the window and let in the air
Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..
Vacuum & turn mattress before replacing with fresh linen..
Clean lightshade. And remove dead insects
15 minutes floordrobe clearance
Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
binbag dance
Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one.
Extras

• tidy a cupboard
• Clean windows in these rooms
• Clear a box of clutter from the landing
• Make any necessary phone calls

Good morning everyone :beer: We had a lovely day in Liverpool yesterday - DD loved the university (keen to do fine art or fashion degree there) and DH thought Liverpool and its poeple really impressive

Lots of paperwork needs to be done today, ironing, and some needlework just for me

Monday - Sitting Room and Hallway
Level One ~ done :cool:
[STRIKE]Open the windows and turn on some music!
[/STRIKE][STRIKE]Vacuum floors and sofas![/STRIKE][STRIKE]Declutter the chairs, floor and top of any cupboards!
[/STRIKE]Level Two
[STRIKE]Vacuum under any furniture you can.. please don't injure yourselves!
[/STRIKE]Sort out coats, shoes and bags
[STRIKE]Clean any ornaments, glass, mirrors, pictures etc
[/STRIKE]Level Three
[STRIKE]Check those smoke alarms!
Wipe sofas, paintwork and dusty places
[/STRIKE]HHC in the hallway.. vacuum floors/stairs, wipe paintwork, fling that junk mail!.. if there is a charity shop bag.. FILL IT!
Empty and wash out vacuum cleaner.. don't forget filters!

Extras

1. Catch up on some calls/emails
2. HHI
3. Clean switches and sockets
4. Wipe the windows in these areas

Tuesday ~ Kitchen and Dining Mess
Level One ~ done :cool:
[STRIKE]Sweep, vacuum and mop floors
Declutter and wipe worksurfaces
Oven and hob cleaning week... and it is level one so none of you can get out of it..
[/STRIKE]Level Two
[STRIKE]Wipe table replacing cloth if necessary..
[/STRIKE]Clear out a cupboard.. the larder unit or pantry if you have one or just the general messiness of cupboard.. the one where you stuff all things useless.
[STRIKE]Wipe and replace small appliances.. Clean one thoroughly!
[/STRIKE]Level Three
[STRIKE]Wipe units and large appliances.. don't forget kickboards!
[/STRIKE]Wipe the tops of the wall units.. lining them with old wallpaper or newspaper keeps them clean!
Dejunk window sills, dust blinds and wash windows!

Extras

1. Wash light shades and clean bulbs
2. Clean out the smelly fridge
3. Sort out and restock baking cupboards
4. Scrub sink and shine the taps!

Wednesday - Bathroom and Study/Pc Area
Level One ~ done :cool:
[STRIKE]Clean floors in these rooms
Clean baths, toilets, don't forget the outside! and sinks.. shine the taps with a toothbrush
[/STRIKE]Level Two
Clear any clutter from desk
Dust PC and desk and wipe off those cup rings!!
Wipe keyboard, house phone, sockets, switches and mouse etc
Level Three
[STRIKE]Wash your bathroom mats, nets, clean blind/curtains etc[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
[/STRIKE]Scrub down tiles in bathroom.. defragment your pc while doing this.
Empty and clean out all the upstairs bins!
[STRIKE]Clean shower screen/curtain if you have one/if required[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
Collect all the dirty laundry

1. Wipe the skirtings, door and window frames in these rooms
2. Make a long list of those things you need to get for going back to school in September!! Back to school :eek: DS hasn't broken up yet

strip the beds and wash those sheets.. and any duvets that need doing
Drag the stuff from under the beds and place it in it's proper homes!
Level Three
Vacuum the floor
deweb and fluff the room
clean the windows
Extras

1. Wash any curtains/throws/cushions etc that need it
2. Wipe sticky marks from walls and doors
3. Clean any tv's, pc's playstations in the room
4. 15 minutes filing!

Ah well tis Monday and work beckons, it's beavers presentation tonight so I better make sure the last couple of badges are sewn onto W's fleece.

I'm with *H* on this one - they're 16yo after all (or are they 18 after 6th form - sorry if I got that wrong ). I think the whole 16yo "prom" is completely OTT, and a way to show off, rather than really enjoying yourself.

It's not this girl's prom, IT'S HIS, so she needs to get over herself and not expect the poor boy to splash out for a flower

I've just seen a pic of the 16yo prom from the school in the next town in our local paper. Some of those dresses are :eek::eek::eek:
