That is great news. Only a tenner for me this week but that is good when added to the tax refund and the water £100 pay back all within the same week.

    Evening all,
cally difficult dilemma - if he didnt get the finance etc and didnt go to uni next year what would he do - could you stand him being under your feet?????? That would be the consequence of your inaction I think:rotfl:
I get your point! He'd have to get a job! We've always said we'll support the kids while they are studying and/or getting a first job etc, but we won't support them to do nothing, so we'll be charging him board from Sept.

Um... tell him once now, let him know you'll be there for advice and leave him to it? If he's sorted enough to emerge from Glastonbury in one piece - and could take in enough info to get to the right stage for the bands he wanted to see:D - then applying that knowledge to the rest of his life may not be a bad thing.
He was working at Glasto, he's had a summer job for the last four years or so working on burger vans round all the festivals so he is pretty sorted when it comes to organising that. He was supposed to be back home this afternoon to do his form, but as yet, 11.15pm, he hasn't shown up. I want to leave him to it, DH is more inclined to nag!

How will you explain assault with a deadly courgette at A & E?
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

No flying done today, other than a few loads of washing. Had a migraine this afternoon but it's gone now.

Will catch up tomorrow, love to all....

Busy with work and away for a few days I think.

Sure enough just before the baby made an appearance the mum blurted out to her husband that he wasn't the dad........ kid sister wishes floor would open up and swallow her!

The poor girl has also been hinting about a corsage.
DS1 has stuck a courgette on a ribbon and is going to claim a misunderstanding. DS2 is loving the idea.

:rotfl: Any chance of a pic if he goes ahead with this :rotfl:

The maintenance is easier than the making-sure-it's-all-clean-and-tidy-to-begin-with, isn't it?

    Told you so :p
The only worry is how hurt your DS's girlfriend is going to be on what is obviously for her an important day. If she has a cracking sense of humour fine but it sounds like she is pinning so much on this event does he really want her to remember her prom by being presented with a courgette.

I can see what you are all saying, however it is ds1's school prom not G/F's ( that will be next year at different school, if of course, the relationship lasts that long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

He thinks it has gone completely OTT and has only got his 'Black tie' sorted because i have ordered it. He was happy in his jeans..........

I'm with *H* on this one - they're 16yo after all (or are they 18 after 6th form - sorry if I got that wrong :( ). I think the whole 16yo "prom" is completely OTT, and a way to show off, rather than really enjoying yourself.

It's not this girl's prom, IT'S HIS, so she needs to get over herself and not expect the poor boy to splash out for a flower ;)

I've just seen a pic of the 16yo prom from the school in the next town in our local paper. Some of those dresses are :eek::eek:

I hope I haven't offended - just my POV, so please ignore if you choose :D
