Sygma Bank Credit Cards

Oh for the love of... You can change a PIN on the Silver card, but not on the My World card. Can't do it. Won't allow it.
I didn't even think cards with PINs that can't be changed existed? What if it is compromised? Or if the PIN they issued is insecure because it contains a string of three zeros (in my case)?
They've issued me a new PIN now, so I have a new one, but won't know what it is until it arrives in 5-10 days.

correct me if Im wrong, but were cards not like that about 6 years ago lol0

Dunno mate first card I ever had was a Barclays Visa Electron at the age of 15 - nine years ago - and I could change the pin on that
Never come across it before. Weird thing is Sygma Silver doesn't have this restriction. My World does. Hmm.Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Whoop! I've been accepted for a Sigma Silver! I applied last Sunday and got referred but having not recieved anything in the post today i decided to give them a ring.
A delightful girl answered, told me a few jokes whilst she found my details, then told me that my application was succesful and i should receive the card any day now
My credit limit is only £1000 but i'll only be using it for a balance transfer anyway so that's fine. Does anyone know what % of your total limit your allowed to use for a 0% BT?0 -

They allow you to transfer 90% of your limit so in your case £900.
BTW, by "Any day now" they mean "definitely not within a week".
Took 23 days for my replacement MyWorld card to arrive. 11 Days when I was initially accepted.
I don't think they're adjusting their staff levels in line with the workload of all the new applicants / customers...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Hi guys, hope you can help me.
I currently have three credit cards (Aqua, Vanquis and Cap One) totalling about 3k in credit limits, of which I have about 60% used.
I would like to apply for a Sygma card, and I understand they use Equifax for credit scoring.
My Equifax file looks like this,
1 default from 2005
On electoral roll
7 or 8 "trace" searches
The 3 credit cards above, with no defaults or late payments
1 mobile phone credit a/c, no defaults or late payments
I would like to shift some or all of the outstanding debt to a Sygma card, as the APR would be much lower.
Am I likely to be accepted?0 -

Lol
Not moaning mate just stating that the majority of people who have sub-prime cards are those who have in the past not managed money very well, and for sygma to just hand out cards to them like sweets just might not be the best option, good on the people who have been sub-prime for a while and now moved up to one or two of sygma cards, but also people are coming on here racing to see how many cards they can get off sygma,i mean i am no financial advisor but do think these people who are trying to get 4 or 5 sygma cards in one go will struggle in the end..
I personally have not had any problems with sygma,i am keeping my balance under £200 at all times..0 -

Ha!
Well my ongoing saga with them continues. It seems they have developed a new way of stopping customers getting their hands on a card -
As you know I damaged my wallet contents and ordered replacements for most things on 6th July, my MyWorld card finally arrived yesterday, after seven calls and two team leaders, two declined re-issues due to "System errors".
Silver card replacement still hasn't arrived. The last person I spoke to on 28th advised that the replacement was issued on the 23rd and would be with me today at the latest - and promised.
Lo and behold, still no card. Turns out that all the people I've spoken to so far have lied to me, including the two team leaders.
One of them is allegedly going to speak to the underwriting team to ensure that a replacement is actually sent out but after this hoohah I have no intention of using the account again and will clear it down as quickly as possible (well I am anyway, but you know) leaving it dormant at £0 ASAP.
The level of incompetence these guys demonstrate is absolutely astonishing! They clearly save costs in training so they can afford to let customers default.
EDIT: Right. They say it was physically posted yesterday so should be with me tomorrow. We'll see...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48
