Hi all,
Have read through the thread and last month applied for the Silver Card and got a 1k limit on 18.9%. Alongside this i currently have a capital one classic at 34.9% with an 800 limit (just had a 2nd increase after 12 months).
I'm tempted to try and get rid of this cap 1 card, would it be worth applying for FlyBe (bearing in mind i only applied for Silver at the start of July)?
Alternatively I could stick with Cap 1 Classic or i could perhaps close it and re-apply for the progress card....
If i choose the progress option how long do i have to wait and would i be guaranteed the same rate as my current cap 1 classic?
Hope thats not too off topic as i know this is meant to be Sygma!
ThanksNewbie alert...please be gentle0 -

How is your equifax file? How many searches in the last 6 months...do you have any defaults?
I would assume as you had the silver with 18% your credit file isn't too bad.
Personally, I would wait until you have had the silver for about 3 months so sygma can see some history...i would then apply for the flybe or if your over 25 and meet the criteria apply for the creation card.
Once accepted I would do a balance transfer to the cap 1 but keep spending a few quid each month on the cap 1 and pay in full to gain the green 0s on your credit file
here is what i did...
March 10 (flybe 2k limit)
June 10 (silver £1K limit)
July 10 (creation card £5K limit)0 -

Well you defiantly meet the criteria needed for a sygma card, that is having one of the 5 sub-prime cards out there capital one classic..0 -

When creditors perform a credit check on you, they cannot see the name of the lender.
They just see the account type, i.e. "Credit Card", "Bank Account", "Airtime Agreement", whereas we see "Sygma Bank UK", "Lloyds TSB", "Hutchinson 3G UK LTD".
So they have no way of designing a system with such a preference I'm afraidCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

I had one from Flybe about 2/3 months ago for Balance Transfer at 7.9% for the life of the balance but nothing since, but I now have the Creation Card which offer 0% for 15 months on BT0 -
I wonder... has anyone tried applying for the same card they already have? If they let you have five differently branded cards, perhaps the system would accept an application for a second card of the same brand? RBS and Natwest do.

whos brave enough to try....
Well, not quite, but the evening on the day that I activated the card, they sent me an email, that my application has been approved, and that my "new card and PIN will be with (me) within 7 to 10 days."
I'm wondering if they want to send me a new card fortnightly.
