I applied 5 months ago and was declined. Will re-apply in one month and if necessary will ring the underwriters.

I currently have an Aqua card with 250 limit (for 9 months) and a Capital One Classic with 400 limit (5 months). Hope this is enough for them.

Why should we not be able to speak to an underwriter?

Yeah see what you mean,but think if people keep phoning up and asking to speak to the underwriters,they will just say if the computer says no that is it..

has anyone been referred then declined for what ever reason? how long did it take for them to write to you and tell you youve been unsuccessful?

Yup I applied in November 2008 and that was referred and declined, also I referred for the MY World card and that was referred then decline

It took about a week maybe less to here from them on both occasions.

Sygma sygma sygma sygma, mse seems to be a little on sygma overload these past few months, suppose im lucky i managed to get a silver card since then ive applied for a my world, flybe, and creation card and declined the LOT, not to mention i asked for my credit limit on my silver card to be increased aswell...........DECLINED ALSO................U LOT are a TERRIBLE influence...

I called them tonight, applied 20th, they say still undergoing checks
